The weird thing about HRT is that it can cause PMS on a pretty cyclical schedule. The claims about cramping, bloating, nausea, and other symptoms related to PMS is not inaccurate. It’s related to how the body processes and regulates the hormones, and transwomen are generally given a similar treatment to what menopausal women receive. However, neither HRT nor GRS provides transwomen with the properly functioning bits for a full “period experience,” as it were. If they’re experiencing bleeding, they should be getting that shit checked out, not giggling to their girlfriends about their “period.”
