I feel like many doctors have a very Darwinistic approach to these patients so they're willing to castrate them; and I believe they also practice (consciously or unconsciously) a common attitude in which you treat the symptoms not the root cause.
Not many doctors want to go deep down into these people's psyches (or reject the bureaucracy that "prevents" them from conducting reaearch) and uncover the three fundamentals of transsexualism and treat those issues.
I mean if they did, GRS would cease, and overtime that attitude of superficial curing would dissipate over time, and they would probably not make much money.
The "clit" falling off is actually a pretty common complication based on what I've seen people self-report online. They always say the same thing - my clit fell off and everyone is saying this is so rare. Well maybe it's not as "rare" as people think when it seems to happen on a regular basis?
