It's awful how many people don't actually understand what consenting to sex consists of, especially when these people are into BDSM and other forms of "extreme" sex. It's not just someone or something wanting to have sex, like a dog humping you or something. True consent requires that the consent is freely given out of their own volition, reversale, everyone is aware of what sex acts may or will happen and what those acts involve, are actually excited to have sex, and know specifically how the sex acts will play out (like if you ask someone to simply give you a blowjob and they agree, you don't start facefucking them). Obviously that doesn't mean you have to sit down and write out a game plan before you have sex, but it also involves body language and going slow enough for your intentions to be obvious and the other person has the chance to say no to it.
So many zoophiles say that because their animal is aroused or approaches them for sex it means it's consensual even though it's literally impossible for an animal to actually do all those things. An animal can be excited for sex but how do you know your animal actually wants to have sex and isn't just doing it because you've groomed it and/or it's subservient to you? How can an animal tell you it wants to stop other than fighting back after the fact and only if you haven't already groomed/trained it to accept it? How can an animal understand what sex acts you intend to perform or even what those sex acts are? By no stretch of the imagination can you say that having sex with a creature who can't talk and has the mental age of a human infant at most can possibly be consensual. When you compare it to pedophilia, zoophiles are quick to say "it's not the same because these animals are sexually mature" as if that has anything to do with it. Like with how often people with mental disabilities are abused, it's easy to justify it because they're adults and they "agree" and let you do things to them without question even if they lack the capacity to understand what's happening or aren't told in a way that they can comprehend.

I've read some of the guides these people write about how to "make love" to your animals and as you expect, it's a lot of training them to let you touch them wherever you want and tempting them with food.
One of them describes how if you want a dog to mount you, you have to teach it during puberty to view you sexually. Dogs are naturally attracted to sex pheromones and the "doggy style" position so you expose your puppy to these things until it associates its instinctive sexual attraction with you. If you start "training" it too late, it's very hard if not impossible since its already sexually developed to only be attracted to other dogs. You very literally have to groom a dog from its childhood if you want it to fuck you. Can you imagine someone saying that about pedophilia?
