Police in Alliance, OH arrested Joshua Freyermuth Sunday after an alleged attempt to kidnap a young boy. Officers arrested Freyermuth on the 2200 block of Route 62 in Columbiana County on a warrant for attempted kidnapping, News 19 reported.

Alliance Police announced in a bulletin that the child was safe. “Earlier today an attempted kidnapping of a child occurred in Alliance, OH. Patrol officers and detectives were able to apprehend the suspect a short while ago in Columbiana County and he remains in police custody. The child is safe. More information will follow. Thank you to everyone for their assistance.”

According to WFMJ, the 39-year-old is accused of attempting to lure the boy away from his dog earlier in the day along South Web Avenue. Police said that Freyermuth also goes by the name "Vicky." The police report stated that Freyermuth is homeless.

Police said in their report that Freyermuth told the 11-year-old boy on September 22, "I need to talk to you" in an attempt to lure the boy off his property and away from his dog, WOIO reported. The report added that when the child refused, Freyermuth allegedly attempted to grab him.

Freyermuth was arrested on Friday in a separate case after police said that they found methamphetamine in Freyermuth’s car. According to the Canton Repository, Freyermuth had been charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business in that case.

A trans-identifying man from Bloomington, Ill., recently received an 87-year sentence after confessing to child grooming and two counts of sexual assault against a child under the age of 13. Michelle Blessent, a biological male who formerly went by James, received 42 years for each sexual account count and another three years for grooming. Even though Blessent is recognized as a male by the Illinois Offender Directory, Blessent was sent to the Logan Correctional Center for Women in Lincoln to serve time. Blessent will reside with female inmates.

Meth. It's always meth. And if it isn't meth, it's fent. Anyway, he's lucky he didn't get shot, only arrested.
That’s what I’ve been hearing too from my friends and family that still live there.

Ohio was a wonderful place to grow up (Midwest hate gtfo), so safe we could ride our bikes to the creek and other places in 2nd grade (in a group of girls though).
The trees are beautiful, peanut butter chocolate buckeyes sold everywhere are amazing, everyone in the neighborhood I grew up in knew each other and watched out for us kids and knew where we all lived.

There’s no way to have that kind of community with thousands of Haitians and Somalis.
Haven’t been back to visit in a few years, but it’s sad.
I mean, most of Ohio is still wonderful. I spend more than half my life on that side. Don't give up hope. (Insert Michigan joke, here.)

At the end, this is the only thing that matters. I'm glad that kid's fine.

The only time I've wished a kid had a pitbull that goes crazy at the freak who tried to take the owner.
