"Pax Ahimsa Gethen"—real name Julie Bernstein—is a black, a transsexual, an atheist, a polyamorist, a feminist, a radical vegan, an LGBT activist, and a contributing member of society in general. It first came to my attention as one of the frequent readers of Assigned Male, and due to it fancying itself some sort of activist and posting an inordinate amount of personal information, I decided to pursue it further.

Julie has worked as a photographer, but has chosen to dedicate its focus to its far-left ideals, particularly radical veganism/"animal liberation." It has been involved with Direct Action Everywhere, which is the sort of group that likes to harass people in grocery stores and restaurants. Below is a presentation that it made, wherein it talks not only about gender identity—with charts from Tumblr included—but also about gender identity and pronouns in animals (skip to 5:20 for this thought-provoking information).

Some more wisdom from Julie:
Julie said:
"I am strongly pro-free speech and opposed to arbitrary restrictions on personal behavior based on the dominant culture's religious or moral views."
Julie said:
"First of all, freedom of speech does not apply to my personal blog, Facebook page, or any other space I control. . . . I don't need people to come into my space to tell me what the mainstream already wants me to hear. Nor do I need to subject myself to this dialog in group discussions.

Julie said:
"When I post about racism, heterosexism, or cissexism, I want to hear a resounding echo of people shouting 'We're mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore.' . . . I will not tolerate any more unsolicited opinions from my oppressors on how to be an effective activist or a 'nice' person. Get out of my chamber."

Julie said:
"Our patriarchal society dominates women not only through abstinence-focused sex education and denial of reproductive rights, but also controlling access to sanitary products. This article by a woman who was imprisoned shows how jailers deny basic human rights and decency by not providing adequate tampons and sanitary pads."

Julie said:
"I no longer saw veganism as a diet, but as a moral stand against violence. I now saw animals as people, not property. I could no longer look at someone’s dismembered body on a plate with dispassion."

I'm a skilled photographer and writer. I shoot and edit quality photos, and maintain a blog primarily about social justice and gender issues. My thoughts and creativity cannot be constrained by tweets and snapshots. Nor can my work be separated from my values.

After years of trying a traditional sales model for my photography business, I am making changes. My new work is being released underCreative Commons licensing, for free noncommercial sharing with attribution. My current photos are available on Flickr, and some are also on Wikimedia.

While I am happy to share my work, professional photography costs money. Web hosting, business licensing, and equipment maintenance and replacement add up. Crowdfunding will enable me to cover these expenses and continue my work.

A monthly pledge is your vote for high-quality, independent photography and writing, supported directly by you rather than by advertising. It is also your pledge to support an openly queer black trans person who shares candid thoughts on controversial and sensitive topics.

I found a post that Julie wrote for Direct Action Everywhere's blog, wherein it attempts to seamlessly discuss the gender preferences of animals and transsexuals' preferred pronouns.

There truly is no limit to the depths of tumblr crazy, is there?

I am happy that misgendering is now a lethal weapon. My power is much greater than I initially thought

Well, it is an atheist, after all.

So is there some sort of formal dress code among this crowd that requires them to dress like technicolor clowns from the moon?
Fuck animal rights and "nonbinary erasure", the real tragedy here that tie.

On his list of goals, he says he wants $60 a month to replace his business cards. Couple of questions:
1. As far as I can tell, he isn't selling anything, he's just asking for cash to continue a hobby. That's not a business, so what function would business cards serve?
2. What the fuck is he having them printed on that he need $60 a month for them? Unless he's doing those super-thin steel or graphite ones that the execs get, there is no way this adds up.
3. Having looked through his gallery of "work", these are not professional photos, much less art. These are ordinary photos shot by a photographer with minimal skill and little imagination. The shots are boring, lifeless, and obvious, and there's nothing to distinguish them from the work of any jackoff with a cheap Canon.

If you're going to claim your shit is amazing enough to justify asking people to fund it, you could at least put some effort into it.

That's the odd thing. If agender people don't feel like they're any gender, why bother trying to make yourself physically another?
What I'm getting out of it is they are FTM, but like many trans dudes on tumblr, don't want to be an "oppresor" so they use a bullshit nonbinary gender instead. If you have a desire for a cock, balls, and the secondary sex characteristics associated, you're a dude. Avoiding that so you can claim more oppression points is more transphobic than not.
