Apparently I'm a moron. I picked up a ps4 but when I log onto the Playstation store all it gives me is options to buy movies and ps4 games. Where are the links for classics and Vita games?

I haven't had a PS4 for a few months now, but if I recall correctly I don't think there is a "classics" section (yet) on the PS4 store and Vita games aren't shown on that end.

Whenever I made PSN purchases I would use the online store anyway, store.playstation.com ... Much easier to deal with and you can usually start a remote download after purchase to whatever system.

Like I said I switched to PC and I don't know if there have been major changes since then. Good luck!

Ah my bad. I was coming from the ps3 where they had separate sections for each platform.

Thanks.

Eh, I say to each his own. I love the fuck out of my PC but if you aren't comfortable building your own and don't want to pay the outrageous prices of prebuilts, whatever.

Yeah, the ps4 store doesn't have the best layout. Strangely, they actually had a good layout for the ps3 store years ago, but changed for the worse imo.
A few tips for a newbie
  • Get Bloodborne.
  • As Green Puddin says, the web store's a good choice for purchases
  • If you're a PS+ subscriber , "buy" everything that they give away each month by adding to cart and using the checkout on the online store. You don't need to download it, but it added to your purchase history from then on so you can redownload it whenever you want at no cost.
  • You can reassign buttons on the joypad in the options menu so you can change the control layout even if a game doesn't normally support it
  • Enable the suspend/resume feature under power settings so you can put the machine into standby when playing a game and jump straight back into it when you power up the console next.
  • If you have a Vita, remote play is fucking awesome.
  • Remember the share button, the console's constantly recording the last 15 minutes of gameplay so those "holy shit" moments can be saved forever. It's something I've enjoyed using more than I thought I would.
  • Get Bloodborne.
