The reddit trans thread along with browsing /r9k/, to a less extent /lgbt/ and my own personnel experiences has got me thinking recently about just how negatively the internet has effected people.
Think about it, you got reddit trans community's that create echo chambers of mental illness who view anything out of the norm as gender dysphoria and troon out young impressionable kids, /r9k/ is just a sad circlejerk where the sheer amount of >TFW no gf and >TFW die alone will cause people who are pretty okay to be bogged down via social contagion and /lgbt/ has a legit group trying to troon out people not only there but also in /r9k/ normally saying >ANON TAKE HRT, YOU'LL FEEL GREAT JOIN MY DISCORD HTTPS:SUKDIK.
Social contagion is pretty fucking dangerous but it's not really a hot topic, even for anti internet boomers.
