I did private security for a couple of different companies many moons ago. You watch, report(call the police if it is required), and be a visual deterrent. You're not allowed to touch anyone or their stuff without their consent for liability reasons.
I'm assuming this is similar. But add in it being in the UK and it's even more cucked.
 
Say what you like about them, at least they protest in a white way. Blacks would smash, loot and burn. Musilims would ram their cars into bystanders. White old ladies just make a little mess but go out of their way to use non permanent paint to make it easier to clean off. They make their point, get arrested, accept responsibility for their actions and the world keeps turning.

So, when you decide do something incredibly stupid, like trying to use modern paint with modern solvents on a cultural and world landmark, something humanity in general has agreed needs to be preserved due to its cultural and historical significance, for a protest for a cause and institutions that will gladly leave you to rot when called out of their shit, I'm not supposed to respond in a way that makes you, and any other mental deficients that are brain dead enough to think the way you do, immediately reconsider their actions due to not wanting to go to that level on the find out scale?

There would be far fewer incidents like this if these fucks would get their shit rocked. So yes, fucking taze and beat granny if she's fucking stupid enough to do this shit.

props to them for using a mostly non-destructive paint medium for their little publicity stunt, if they're anything like most old British people they probably just joined "the cause" for the social interaction, maybe there aren't any good tea and coffee groups in their neck of the woods so this is what they get up to on a weekend instead, a bit of grave marking and politely sitting down waiting to have a gab with the nice bobby when they eventually turn up, then back home in time to watch that evenings rerun of classics eastenders episodes on the telly.

It’s all about the visibility to these people.
They know they’d be in real deep shit if they actually damaged anything that their intended audience might care about (things of cultural/“liberal studies” value seem to almost always get away unscathed, but things related to the government, urbanization, and capitalism? Gotta pull out the real paint for those!). So they use something temporary or easy to clean up so that it seems like they’ve damaged something, get the press and the internet wound up and talking about it, and by the time the memo gets out a day later about how nothing was actually irreversibly damaged (chalk paint, there being a cover over the painting, etc.), the few people who still care don’t want to acknowledge it because that’s admitting you went into a rage over misinfo and played into their hands. And as for the destruction of things related to the government, urbanization, and capitalism? The ones who actually disapprove aren’t their audience.

The family and friends of Gaie Delap, the 77 year old grandmother who has been recalled to prison as her wrists are too small to fit an electronic monitoring tag, have issued a last minute appeal to the Ministry of Justice and SERCO to “find a strap for Christmas”.

Gaie Delap took action in 2022 to demand the government end all new licenses and consents for oil and gas projects, something which is now government policy. [1] [2]

The family and friends of Gaie Delap issued a statement which reveals how the Ministry of Justice, Lord Timpson, Minister of State for Prisons, Parole and Probation and Anthony Kirby, Serco’s CEO for UK & Europe have each declined to take ultimate responsibility for their failure to find a suitable alternative for Gaie.[3]

The statement also reveals that strap sizes that would have fitted Gaie are commonly available and have been in use since before 2011. The family feels that had Gale been a man she would be spending Christmas at home.

The statement says:

“All authorities are shifting responsibility from one to another. We are going around in circles. And all the time we know there are strap sizes that would fit Gaie. We know too there are alternatives to a tag such as the fingerprint scanners widely used by the UK Home Office for electronic monitoring for the past two years. Why doesn’t the Ministry of Justice know this?”

Gaie spent three months in prison from August 2024 before being released on a home detention curfew on November 18th. EMS was unable to fit a tag to Gaie’s ankle due to a health condition, so attempted to fit a tag to her wrist, but failed. She was subsequently recalled to prison and on Friday 20 December, was arrested and taken to HMP Eastwood Park. She will now spend Christmas in prison and is understandably terrified after her experiences during her last period of incarceration. [4]

I also usually see them use mentally ill women and weak men. No one that would realistically be able to fight back. I’m convinced that if one of these people got horribly hurt or even killed because of the protest, the higher ups who sent them out there would probably throw a party because of how much coverage it would get.

Most security in the UK is outsourced to private companies and is only there for show, like CCTV at a gas station that isn't actually hooked up to anything.

A long time ago I worked at a store that had security like this and because it was usually quiet the guard would chat away to me and regularly boast about how if anyone stole anything he wasn't gonna do shit because he was in his 60s and had a heart condition.

OT: I'd been wondering what had happened to JSO, they seemed quiet ever since those two genderblobs who threw soup got sentenced. Looks like they're sending the coffin-dodgers out now because they'll get let off on some compassionate grounds bullshit.
