Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died at 87. - 🦀

The problem is that memesmithery is a very hard to master art. Rather than allowing the visuals or single phrase do the job for you (as a lot of memes do) the left cannot help themselves and have to put in walls of text to get whatever moralizing point across they want to do. They can't do a simple visual gags, or if they do, it's very bland, idiotic shit that's instantly forgettable.

Memes have to be transgressive in some way to be effective, but the modern left's entire schtick is "You can't do this, you can't say that, you have to positive opinion X about identity group Y". In short, the left's message is both boring, preachy, an injunction to maintain the cultural status quo and at worst an outright denial of empirical reality. Frankly I think they should be encouraged to waste their efforts trying to meme. Their philosophy of memeing is a meme in itself!

Here is how it is going to play:
New Justice will be fasttracked
Two Senators have already confirmed to be voting no, but Romney is keeping quiet.
Romney will oppose last minute, forcing Pence to play tie-breaker.
This will put the left into a brand new meltdown over just how ILLEGAL this somehow is, ensuring a large dem turnout.
Biden wins.
New Justice is impeached over Pence’s tiebreaker, somehow was never a real justice.

Hear me now, believe me later.
If they had enough votes they'd just pack the court with 5 more justices not impeach existing ones.

I still don't understand the polls are showing Trump is low with subarn women. That's one thing I don't get.

Way would subarn moms want Biden a man who is clearly suffering from dementia, whos own VP nominee called him a racist and sexist a year ago. Who is afraid to call out the BLM and Antifa riots.

I really home this makes Surbarn women wake up.

Or the polls are lieing

You pick which one. Is true.
Suburban women are usually karens or liberal leaning authoritarians who hate normal black people but will support BLM niggers.

The possibility of just holding a vote with no hearings did occur to me. The problem is the media will whine it is illegitimate. The case for that becomes a lot harder if the Republicans tried to hold hearings but Democrats stopped them.
There is no requirement, none, for there to be hearings. In fact, there never were hearings until Louis Brandeis was nominated. They held hearings then because he was a Jew.

There's the crux of the message. Political memes have to be transgressive to draw attention. They're humor, and as such they gain power out of being absurd.

Problem is, the left has been in power in the cultural sphere for a very long time now. Memes are counterculture, you can't be the culture and try to manufacture memes on demand. Sure, some of them might hit (and you could argue that out-of-context videos of police applying justifiable force against black people are a form of memery), but by and large they'll sound exactly as insincere and artificial as they are. If the left ideologically won't allow shitposters because shitposting is offensive, their meme game is always going to be weak.

If thats the chase. Who are the independent voters who decides elections than.
People like red sweater Ken Bone most likely or people tired of both parties.

But definitely not suburban women though.

This is why it baffles me they blew this particular shot so early. Every single day matters for this, they had something that could significantly delay it and.... utterly shot their load early for NO gain.
Sometimes people just get in the mood and want to blow their load. Some days for some unknown reason, I just want to blow the load so I feel what the democrats are doing.

However each delay helps the democrats so Mitch McConnell must confirm as soon as possible before the leftists try crazy shit or some GOP senators just fold.

The polls are wrong because white suburban women keep that shit to themselves.

If Facebook taught me anything it's that after Trump won in 2016 the voting block that put him over the edge was white suburban women who the dems and pollsters said were absolutely going to vote for Hillary. I know this because my whole Facebook feed was filled with think pieces and charts. It was filled with black people blaming them and white women blaming each other. I know one personally who voted Trump and she was posting so many "fuck white women Trump is their fault" memes it was silly.

Your average suburban white woman* sees no benefit to sharing her personal political beliefs. She'll nod and smile and talk about love and kindness and how she "doesn't like to talk about politics" so she doesn't have to get embroiled in a shitty conversation that might make her kids get worse grades or see them never get off the bench because the coach has different beliefs or stop getting invites to the regular PTA meetings. Worse yet? Her political beliefs can affect her kids' friend groups. Mom gets ostracized the kids are fair game.

It's not woth fucking up community connections to have an argument that's going to get settled in November without saying a word.

* Portland and Seattle definitions of "average" do not apply.

Part of the problem is that every measure taken to regulate lobbying has always ended up favouring the wealthy and large organisations, who have the funds to spend on compliance with the rules. This has has turned lobbying into a semi-professional interface between corporate groups and politicians, whilst cutting out actual constituents and individuals, or small groups, with genuine concerns and issues they want to raise.

But that's probably the point.

I also find it hard to believe that "influence-peddling" (as Bret Weinstein calls it) isn't just a baked-in feature of government. I don't buy that something like this doesn't immediately crop up the second you create a centralized government. Graft is a part of government.

I find it telling that the only meme of theirs that caught on in recent years was the "OK Boomer" meme, which was pretentious and insufferable but it was succinct and not just a preachy wall of text. Plus you also had enough Millennials and Zoomers on the right who like to A-Log the Boomers as well, although not to the extent that the Woke Left does.

Part of me wonders if OK Boomer would've been able to catch on in 2019 to the extent that it did if it weren't for the popularity of the "Boomer Wojak" meme in 2018 and early 2019.

The other big leftist meme of theirs before OK Boomer that caught on was the "fedora neckbeard man" but a lot of that worked because the left always projects and most leftist men are actual neckbeards (the soy boy has the beard and glasses for a reason) and it was probably one of the last major leftist memes that caught widespread traction back in 2010-2013. And to be honest, if it weren't for Sargon and Ethan Ralph (along with The Amazing Atheist and Boogie to a lesser extent, though they both lean left) I don't think it'd stick to the Right to the extent it did.

There's also the incel meme from around the same time, while there is a small community of self-identified incel nutjobs and the incel meme is starting to border on Satanic Panic/Reefer Madness levels of played out hysterics at this point thanks to astroturfing. It's become the leftist version of "cuck" at this point

A marriage with charting, withdrawal or condoms during ovulation, and a copper or hormonal IUD is highly realistic for nearly everyone as most married men aren't premature ejaculators a la American Pie but have some semblance of control and awareness. It's astounding that people think most functioning adults aren't capable of monitoring their fertility, lol. I really can't wrap my mind around believing I have absolutely no agency over my body or choices and must resign myself to "unwanted" pregnancies or multiple abortions. For all the women who've gotten pregnant on the Pill, I guarantee nearly all of those women were not taking the Pill at the same time every day, were skipping doses here and there, ignored contraindications, etc. They can't bear to look in the mirror and accept any blame or responsibility for their actions, and self-reporting is a joke.

Further, I think it's even creepier when happily married people choose to abort, but that's just my morality and worldview about the intended purpose of marriage showing. And as someone else said, vasectomy is a viable option for married couples who know that they never want kids, though we live in a ridiculous divorce culture where such a decision becomes trickier as well.
I can attest that all of the family planning and prophylactics in the world won't do anything if desire overcomes reason.
The Mrs. and I are trying to plan our family so sex during her ovulation window is normally off the table. Though whenever I come home in uniform she can't keep her hands off of me. All it takes is one to slip past the goalie whenever I'm on duty to make our all of our planning an exercise in futility and blue balls.
Couples that forego prophylaxes like condoms, diaphragms, or spermicidal lubricants for the sake of comfort, convenience, or pleasure are taking a calculated risk whether they're aware of it or not. The only truly "forced" pregnancies are those that arise from rape and human trafficking. Everything else was a choice and choices have consequences.
Abortion should be used only as a procedure of last resort for cases of medical necessity (grevious bodily harm or death to the mother), incestuous unions, and legitimate forced pregnancies (rape, sex slavery, etc.).

Couples really committed to the childfree lifestyle can opt for both a vasectomy and tubal ligation. Nothing's getting past the goalie if he's shooting blanks and her tubes are tied.

Back on topic, I hope Judge Barrett gets the seat. Angelina Jolie tier Hatian adoptions aside, I would like a more religious Justice on the Supreme Court just to represent that aspect of American life. She doesn't have much tenure as a judge though, so that could be an issue.
Salt and Screech from the left would be an absolute treat. Watching them contort themselves into ideological pretzels to tear a woman down just to own the Bad Orange Man would be pretty entertaining.

I can't wait for this accursed year to be over.

Looks like Murkowski is trying to walk back her earlier threat to vote no, and at worst vote present. Guess when even Romney wouldn't be a bitch she didn't want to be against the wall with Collins at the dance.

In theory that's 52 yes, and if that's the case even Manchin will vote yes just to carry favor in West Virginia to pretend to be a blue dog.

It's going to be more apparent Congress will just impeach whoever is nominated and put on the court. They won't be removed but that's their new thing, they'll abuse it to the end to delegitimize everything.

Speaking of Jews, do you know who's supposed to be in the ground within 24 hours of death?
Do you know who's decomposing in the Capitol right now?

If you guessed RBG, you're right. But we shouldn't hold her to this tradition because she wasn't observant. She decided to drop out of religious Judaism at 17, when her mother died and she found out she didn't count as one of the 10 men needed for a minyan. So she tipped her fedora and noped out. Was her entire life shaped by this one event, by her penis envy and rejection of God?

True, I noticed this in the last episode of The Boys. New hero is supposed to help Homelander with his public image by producing memes.(New hero is representation of the "alt-right") Not one of the potential memes they showed were funny or even humourous and they should somewhere around 10.

The Left doesn't understand why memes are effective so they can't produce them for some of the reasons you laid out here. It's hard to be subversive when you're the dominant culture but they keep trying.

OK boomer as a meme didn't even come from the left. It was from /pol/tards dealing with civnat boomers who were saying "everything's fine, back in my day we worked hard". The left literally cannot meme.

Same with Fedora neckbeard and "incel" as an insult. Both originated and gained prominence in "far" right online places. Fedora's obviously being an insult to atheist and dudes terrible with women, and incel coming from the PUA community which no one would consider left. I dont consider PUA political at all tbh.

It's the same with "Karen". I watch Jim's stream live when he came up with Karen's. Jim, to me is a political. The left, like a bunch of locusts and almost everything they do, come in coopted shit and use it till it dies, partly because they are bankrupt creatively. It's sad.

Even Collins hasn't entirely ruled out that she may vote for the nominee. She just think they should not vote before the election occurs, which is a trap Democrats are setting since Martha McSally will likely be out by November 30th.

The only hope Democrats have left is that Trump picks Barrett and that they can conduct the perfect PR campaign against her. Even then, like the Democrats, the Republicans will have done their homework on how to confront the Democrats and if the latter makes one major mistake, the Republicans will get their nominee through. If Lagoa somehow gets picked, it's game over. Either Barrett or Lagoa will likely side with Trump when it comes to nationwide voting fraud coming to the Supreme Court so the Democrats are going to have to come up with a plan to win fairly.

That said, it is important to note that Gardner and Romney did not affirm they would say "Yes" to a nominee, they just said they would vote upon their qualifications. It's good voting for the nominee is on the table, but nothing is certain yet. Grassley I'm confident will vote to confirm no matter what.
