This of course despite there being zero archaeological or anthropological evidence to support it. Despite pygmy's being native to central Africa, not coastal Africa, therefore being highly unlikely to have developed sea vessels worthy of transcontinental voyages. Despite pygmys often being confined to smaller territories due to warring with other African populations and even frequently ending up on the dinner plates of enemy tribes because they're superstitiously believed to be magic. Despite the fact that is highly unlikely that St. Patrick commanded any such military force, and that Ireland was still largely pagan after his departure. And despite the fact, that leprechauns aren't fucking real.
