Well my guess is they need the money or they just really really like hitler. One of those 2 for sure. I don't know the source on this, but here's a video I randomly came across with him discussing this.


He says he's the school shooter of the music industry or some such.
I find it interesting that he gets so fucking close to understanding what he needs to do: just release his music directly and fuck the producers, he doesn't need their marketing and shit anymore. But artists at this level have a really hard time understanding that.

Does he not already self-publish under the YZY brand?
I was under the assumption his biggest roadblocks are the streaming services themselves and people claiming his samples because of who he is.

Can't Kanye just distribute his music on his own/from a website or catalogue he runs, like how skinhead punk (like that band RaHoWa) used to distribute its music back in the day?

Setting up a monetized streaming service is extremely difficult even if you already have good grace with advertisers (note: TIDAL, which he was also involved in).
At the end of the day Kanye wants to receive money for the music he makes and there is no way he would see the returns he wants by setting up a distribution platform for only his music.
 
Recent Ye happenings have made me very happy. He's a genius and he's funny as fuck. I just caught up on the thread to see what people are saying here.

One thing I wanted to share given my deep knowledge of Ye is that the Cuck album "leak" was just some Discord trannies being Discord trannies. There's a few things wrong with it, and I can name a few.
  1. The opening track is not WW3, and WW3 doesn't have Adin Ross shouting over it. The closest mix we have is the single release.
  2. Cousins is likely the intended opening track.
  3. The song "Uncle" was cut from the album and is not about Bianca.
  4. There's a much better unreleased mix of "Hitler, Ye, Jesus," but you can only hear it so far in stream clips. I've heard some good remixes cut from those clips.
  5. It seems like "All The Love" might make it into the album, and the song is not called "Gas Chambers."
  6. "Nitrous" and "Cosby" from the leak are likely on the finished album and the leak actually leaked the best versions of those tracks so far. The mix on each still sounds a little incomplete.
  7. The leak clearly has early mixes of what became "Heil Hitler." The best mix of that track is actually a "Top 5 X Holligan" mix a fan made that you can find on YouTube.
There's probably more details. I can't be bothered citing sources, other than just "Me." The album, if it ever comes out officially, is an absolute banger. I'm here for it. I may cut my own version and release it here some day, but I am lazy, post like twice a year, and promise nothing.

"ALIVE" is also awesome and sounds like Death Grips. God bless this madman.
