Karl positioned himself as a authority on Billy Mitchell and his lawsuits, he forgot to be clear and transparent about the one lawsuit that mattered, his own.

Obviously he was misrepresenting the case to everyone following him for the Billy videos. I wasn't trying to say it's his fans' fault for being duped. I was trying to say that it was only Karl himself hiding the info and being purposely vague. Billy's own response video to Karl regarding the lawsuit makes it clear the lawsuit is about the Apollo claims.

Honestly, didn't know Karl had a thread here. I was kinda interested in the Billy Mitchell drama about the cheating, but after seeing how Karl obsessed over him and then all the shit discovered about him with his pickup artist bullshit and how he loves Jap porn, I can't help but like Billy Mitchell a little. Agreed. But I did not follow Billy and I also did not invest any time into keeping track of the lawsuit. I had no reason to not believe the narrative at the time, since the other lawsuits about cheating appeared frivolous and the cheating allegation was supported by pretty well researched evidence.

Its just one of those things where Karl had a kind of cult like following on Youtube where only confirmatory videos made it to my recommended videos and I never saw Billy's video at all.

I was a little confused when Ersatz_Cats wrote those court day summaries and even there a lot of talk is about cheating and what a bad person Billy supposedly is because he files frivolous lawsuits when accused of cheating. (I still do not get why this was presented in court, it makes no sense at all.)

But at the end of the day, I am exactly such a member of the public that was both affected by the defamatory statement and the hidden retraction, believing Billy had directly caused a suicide by filing another frivolous lawsuit, and I was also kept in the dark about the exact lawsuits litigated in Australia. Karl could have been much clearer about both, which in the end would have likely cut down the amount of money awarded by the judge significantly.

Sorry to disappoint that the rest of the world does not follow Australian mainstream media on the outside chance they might report something relevant for anyone outside the prison colony.

You’re trying to imply that I’m saying you and others should have obsessively researched the case over the years, but I’ve not made that claim. Based on what you’re saying, though, you and others put some stock into this whole deal and now feel burned.
