Incidentally, on that very day Karl posts that video in which he frames Billy's statements on the latest lawsuit as lies ("the complaint says nothing about video games"). Thereby allowing his fans to assume it's still about the vidya. On August 17th, two days before that video went up, his fundraiser stood at $147,621, out of a final sum of $200,891 AUD when he finally shut it down months later.

This is what matters the most. People trusted Karl Jobst. Karl took that trust, used it to farm donations, and now virtually everyone who trusted him feels manipulated and deceived by him. While accountability goes both ways, fault doesn't. Only one man was responsible for disseminating the nature of the lawsuit for which he was accepting handouts.

Bypassing this reality to handwave Karl's actions is, from what I've seen, only being done so that some faggots can pat themselves on the back. Case in point:

So far, my retrospectives on throughout 2001 and 2002 show that some of the other users there did not like the way he posts with how he flailed his ego (which I'd argue still applies today), his parents liked to take his Internet and Nintendo 64 away while he insists he did nothing wrong (only wanting to speedrun all day while ragequitting and breaking most of his controllers playing GoldenEye), he hated it when people pronounce his name as Karl Yobst, et cetera. These aspects of him might have never changed, coupled with his obsession with porn and various homosexual activies. He sure talks about his cock a lot still.
