Archiving is essential, because it prevents people who did things to pretend "that never happened". Just look at Nick Rekieta who has been trying to rewrite his arrest and subsequent positive cocaine test of one of his kids. People will try to lie their way out of situations they have put themselves in every single time.
Archiving means they can't.

It is proof that something happened.
Just look at all the shit Karl said since 2021, isn't it great context for the story he was publicly telling?
Or Alyssa Mercante with her lulsuit for harassment, but her Tweets were archived proving she herself said pretty much all those things about herself first or admitted doing them.

That's not the archival practices with which I refer. The case of Nick Bates would not have been possible without the archive that KF had on him. This is why I say the phrase "necessary evil". There have been cases where victims have way too much personal information shared about them on this platform. Victims who should have been unnamed and, in a legal sense, would normally have gone unnamed in lawsuits and court documents. This isn't always the case, but it has happened a few too many times for my liking.

This is also important for people who aren't awful who made shitty mistakes, like posting their own nudes when they were in their early 20s after being abused. There is a case where I had such a video in my archive of a young woman reviewing anime while in a bathtub half naked, which was archived because it was posted on 4Chan. Come to find out later that this was caused by them being on drugs after sexual abuse.

I feel that KF is far too chaotic, and doesn't always properly censor victims' info. But it's nice to know that your primary concern is always attacking the perpetrator, and never the cost of such an attack; it shows an inability to just ask what my issue was, instead assuming it's that you're holding people accountable at all. Holding people accountable is important, mocking uninvolved victims (and I'm not talking scammers, doxxers, pedos, etc.) has been done here and there on this platform. Uncensored names of adult victims has happened on this site.
