One of my high hopes for the whole Khat saga was the thought of Phil losing half his shit, and always bitching about having to pay alimony.

Goddamnit Khat, just stay there for a few more months and you’ll be set for life! Don’t leave Phil just yet!
 
When to tell when Khet is gonna be gone? Jasper's life pretty much depends on the bitch; Imagine DSP having to provide clean water at least once a day when the seattle air is not pure enough to heal his back; give him food, changing the litter.

I know that lazy assholes can own cats but Dave being the sole caretaker makes me seriously consider death for our beloved declawed furry detractor.

I think if Kat was gone and didn't take Jasper with her, Phil would bring him to a shelter. Despite sometimes pretending Jasper is his child, his laziness ultimately wins out, which means Jasper is an inconvenience for Phil because he has to do such strenuous activities like providing food and water and cleaning out a liter box. It never seemed like he wanted Jasper in the first place, and if Kat did leave, I could also see Phil being spiteful and wanting to get rid of Jasper so he wasn't around to serve as a reminder of Kat existing, making it easier for Phil to pretend she was never really there.

I am way too far away but I would go adopt Jasper out immediately, that poor cat needs a good life after living in the empire of sweaty gout
