So I was gonna post in the hallow-STREEM thread but it fits better here.

Why is it possible autistic Housewife Katherine St. Jean-Burnell more comfortable hanging with randoms at a Halloween party, than hanging with her cat... I know the issue is more about phil being too lazy to go to the party with his wife, and instead stream games in a bad costume. Don't autistics like routine, familiarity, and hate the unknown?

Yeah but we have no way of knowing whether he is lying. He knows that the socially acceptable answers are either "she's working", "she's at a party", or "she's at home and she's coming on stream" so he's not going to tell us she's playing Skyrim or Overwatch in her room even if it is true.

Also, "hates the unknown" does not mean "OK with zero social contact outside of work". If there really is a party it might be something her coworkers arranged, or she might be desperate enough that the social anxiety is less unpleasant than spending another night all alone. A good example might be CWC-the attraction sign became a routine/habit/obsession of his but it must have been a new thing the first time he did it.
 
I am autistic I still went to parties sometimes. You can still have fun. I think it's more weird that he doesn't go to the parties with her. Same thing with Leanna. She would spend time with friends but phil was in his office.

I'm leaning towards Phil lying about the party just so people didn't ask if Khet was in costume/try to get her to show up on stream. She doesn't exactly seem like the type to go out and socialize at a party. This is also speculation, well, more so than usual, but I also can't imagine too many people are doing larger Halloween events where they're inviting people they aren't particularly close with due to Covid.

Khet usually works on weekends as well, if I'm remembering my lore correctly. She isn't exactly a beacon of responsibility, but I don't know if she'd blow off work for a party.

Maybe a hotel room. They usually have a flatscreen in the middle of the wall, and sometimes there is a bathroom mirror and sink off to the side in the same space, like in her second photo.
