Minimum wage is like $15 in Seattle. It was $12 in Renton last year and $13.50 now. If she was making $12 she was working 25 hours per week, if she's earning more than $12/hour she's working less and if she's making less than $12/hour she's working more. I would guess she's actually getting paid close to $15 because why work for less when you can commute to Seattle.

Commute with what car? The cars only got 5k miles its not making a work commute longer than the 2 miles to the grocery store.

Considering the Toyota is being driven around 4 miles per day, it would make sense that her drive back and forth to work is about 2 miles.
 
I think Phil may have legitimately drank himself into mental disability levels of IQ.

He asked his ♿ if anyone knew a way to preserve fresh bagels for longer than 3 days so they don't go stale. . .while his wife was working at the fucking store they are buying fresh bagels from!!!

On Tuesday just buy the amount of bagels you and your potato wife are going to eat on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday then Friday & Saturday have her bring home more and Sunday when she works have her bring home bagels for Monday & Tuesday.

Like what IQ do you have to be for the answer to your 'Fresh Bagel' dilemma to be: have your potato wife buy them more frequently because she is there 4 times a week instead of only you buying them the 1 time per week you shop at her workplace.

I assume Fred gives a discount to his employees for shopping there?

She would likely be doing all the grocery shopping as well. Pretty sure they don't let Phil borrow her employee card.

Or put them in the fridge to make them last a week or two, or put them in the freezer to make them last for a few months to years depending on how your freezer smells (they taste like a freezer smells after enough time.)

Reading this was the point where I realized his delusions filled in his bankruptcy forms according to whatever fancy suited him at any moment, he definitely wasn't wearing his glasses when he filled it out, and in his mind his wife does not exist as a part of his life.
