I think Leanna learned quickly after moving to Renton that she made a terrible mistake. By 2015, I could sense a shift in her attitude from being the starchaser leech she naturally is, to annoyed with recognizing Phil was never going to return to the Youtube star he was a couple years ago and it's all downhill from here. If you're young and naive, and the guy you're dating is way older, already has his own place and then he decides to move somewhere else, takes you house shopping and then you move into a new home together, she probably assumed the relationship had forward momentum. Of course all of this was happening simply as a part of the process of DSP setting his life up to be as easy as possible. It's all about the image he projects. It's all about him and how awesome he is for having a real adult house with a real adult wife and a real adult cat and living the dream. But the important thing is that she was TRYING to be an adult. Unlike Phil, who either is too busy with his vidya to form an opinion, or just parrots the latest talking point he read online.

Phil PROBABLY thought that Panda was going to come back at some point.
