I agree with others that DSP has been saltier than usual lately, I just don't agree it's because his wife has left the pigsty.

I'm reminded of how he was when he obviously found out that he was going to have explain his microtransactions to Nancy. My guess is that he has learned that ignoring Midfirst isn't something he gets to do, we all know how much he hates it when he has to address the messes he makes.

Which means it could also be that Khet has pulled a Darth Vader and altered the deal with a veiled "pray I don't alter it further" type of threat. She got into this for stability, as has been said, which I think even she knows a bankruptcy doesn't jive with, and if she knows about the Midfirst situation, that's yet another threat to that stability thanks to Phil being a stupid liar.

That seems farfetched to me, if anything the bankruptcy has made him more stable not less, and it freed up a lot of funds for the horse to spend on potatoes and Taco Bell feasts.

Only in the short term, which I really doubt is what Khet had in mind when she decided to shack up with a fat guy who plays video games for a living. Not saying she's a genius with standards, just saying that it seems unlikely that what she wants is to be married to a sugar daddy for just a few years and then bounce. She's like a cat or dog looking for their "forever home", you know? Can't have that when, in a few years time, her other half has racked up more debt and no easy way out of it. And he will do that, no doubt. Most shocking thing Phil could ever pull off is suddenly being smarter with his money.

I absolutely agree she's in it for the long haul, but why would it matter if he goes back to his old habits once he can apply for credit cards again, when that's what he was doing when she got with him at first anyway? DSP will never be good with money, that was true before and after he got with Khet, why would she suddenly expect that to change once the bankruptcy period is over?

Maybe I misunderstood you.

Do you guys believe that Khet knew everything about Phil's money troubles before deciding to marry him?

Imagine how dumb she is if she did. How the fuck can you convince yourself that marrying a fat, ugly fuck who is a joke to mostly everyone who knows him, and who owes hundreds of thousands of dollars to boot, is a good idea? Jesus.

The worst thing is that she probably did know about it. Otherwise, we would have seen her divorcing him already after the bankruptcy shenanigans. Truly a potato.

She probably didn't know before moving in with him, but before marrying him? Surely she suspected something at the very least.

Edit: I mean, is it possible that she's under so much pignosis that she believes he went bankrupt through little to no fault of his own, and this is how he spun it to her? Very much yes. We know how she repeats his rhetoric about the trolls online for example, so he clearly exerts his influence over her mind, or she regurgitates his opinions as a survival tactic.

It's also possible that he's the most cliché husband imaginable and keeps all his financial issues a secret from her and just like what her dear leader husband tells her about "da haterz" she also just believes what he tells her about his finances. Hard to imagine many wives who would be callous enough to just let their husband financially implode while she has her own job and money and adds nothing to help.

There's something abnormal going on in that marriage, that's always been true.

Remember that she's a fully licensed and bonded autist. She might very well think "If I were supposed to help, someone would have told me", or something like that.

Maybe she's like Kevin from The Office and can only use her thinking thoughts when it's put in terms she understands?

This was pretty much what I was going to respond with. I don't think Kat and Phil have much in common, but one of the things I think they do share is not really knowing how to be adults. Kat might not have as bad of spending habits as Phil, but I think that's largely because she never had access to the amount of money Phil did. She seems like she's largely reliant on someone else to cover her basic living costs, and as far as we can tell, she's only ever worked minimum wage(ish) style jobs.

If she's just reading about Phil's finances, it probably goes over her head. If she gets the majority of her information from Phil, it probably goes even higher over her head since Phil is awful at explaining things in addition to being bad with finances. She knows that she has a place to live, potatoes to eat, LPer's to watch and even gets the occasional new game to play between Skyrim and AC playthroughs. As long as all those things remain true, she'll assume everything is okay. Once Phil is unable to provide those basic necessities, that's when I think she'll start looking for someplace new to lay her trough.

Ultimately, it boils down to how good she is at sniffing out threats to the stability she undoubtedly craves. You don't have to be very smart to know that "bankruptcy" and "stability" don't go hand-in-hand. Not even Phil thinks they do, he only waves it off publicly for damage control.

Khet did not know the full extent of what she was getting herself into. The brief time she appeared on stream demonstrated that pretty well. She was not prepared for the trolls, and was not in on the con that Phil is running. Probably why she stopped being on camera long ago. It was supposed to be fun according to her darling Mr. Potatohead and it turned out not to be.

I doubt that Khet fully trusts Phil, you have to have at least some scruples to live the way she does or you end up on the street a lot. I think the only reason she's still around is because the bankruptcy didn't shut off the water, gas, and electricity, and that she's keeping a closer eye on signs of that possibly happening in the future. She's no genius, else she would be independent, but she has experienced a world that Phil has no concept of, and if anything will prompt a divorce, it'll be those instincts she possesses that he does not.

My 2 cents on the whole Khet situation is following the same school of thought of people who say that she won't leave him (yet) because all she wants is free room and board, hay, mashed potatoes and a console/PC that can run Skyrim. We have a saying in my country: "It is not the man who owns much that is happy, but the man who wants little" and Khet strikes me as a woman who wants little. The saying may even be Biblical now that I think about it, but to be fully clear and ahnest with you I'm not a religious person so I don't know.

Because he's taken all the money he was putting towards the CT mortgage + credit card interest and spent it somewhere else judging by the bankruptcy - not paying his mortgage or credit card bills should have been a savings of over $1,000 / month but he only had like $1k in cash on hand when he filed. We also know he actually believes that minimum payments on installment plans are always the right move so I feel comfortable saying he was not proactively paying down his mortgage/car/IRS debt. If he starts accruing CC interest again that will cut into their spending money. So you're right that it might just go back to how things were in 2017-2018 but that is still a step down from where she is right now. The alternative is that he's spending it on things she does not know about like WWE or some other gacha game but we all know Phil is going to prioritize that kind of thing over Kat's wants.

I'm really not sure if this is enough to make her leave him but it'll certainly aggravate things. Especially if his CC debt gets out of control again and he has to make real cuts because he cannot file for a second bankruptcy until 2030.

My 2 cents on the whole Khet situation is following the same school of thought of people who say that she won't leave him (yet) because all she wants is free room and board, hay, mashed potatoes and a console/PC that can run Skyrim. Agreed and if we assume she's just in it for room/board and not a relationship (which I think is reasonable) it's hard to see her doing better than Phil. She's really not a catch and most men with Phil's income would just go "screw it" and date a 20-something blonde instead.

About money and Kat, I think this is more or less the situation they're in: As far as Phil goes, he's got me to say out loud "This guy can not possibly be this dumb/bad at games/shit with his money" or whatever and usually I have been proven wrong. I turned out to be right about there being a mod discord after all, but back then, Vidar said Phil had no communication with his mods. I think this somewhat proves that Phil will be more transparent with people in the inner circle now, if only to some degree. That should include Kat. Although Phil has gone on record saying that Kat has her own debts and issues, which may be an incredibly roundabout way of saying "We have separate accounts."
For a couple years we had Actually analyzing Phil's income and he was pretty much spot on with it. So Kat knows how much Phil makes if she has so much as come here to read up on us calling her a zombie raccoon or whatever the insult du jour was. It's been said before, but for Kat, Phil was nothing but an improvement over her situation. Some bankrupt conman who will probably not do jailtime is better than a hard working dude if all you care about is money. And of course, let's not forget: Kat has a criminal record and is on happy pills. Both of them can't really do much better than each other, but Phil could easily get a much hotter gold digger if he tried.

I don't know if Kat is about as dumb as a rock or what, but I figure she can understand Actually's analysis mostly because it was VERY easy to understand even if you were a math thickie. Much like Phil, if she somehow eventually proves that she really IS that dumb, I'll be flabbergasted. Of course, it's not impossible.

In short, this year has been great for Phil. He's out of debt and gets to keep more of the money he makes; this is one of the bigger reasons he's cranked up the begging to 11. We know he's still whaling on gacha, so that and takeout is where the money goes. We know he treats Kat to meals a lot, and bought her some basic stuff as well as some entertainment related things. It's ironic, but I honestly think Phil spends more money on gacha than on Kat. Making himself a victim of the same "Why don't you just blow your stacks on an e-whore who will at least do stuff to herself for you" paradox that his paypigs suffer from.

As for love and the relationship being on, it's impossible. Phil has made a couple of attempts at saying Kat was REALLY hot. "She could be a swimsuit mahdel", Phil told us. "I'm really lucky to be with her." Hilariously, this was before we saw her. The collective laughing fit that was had on kiwi and detractor chats alike nuked Darksy's ego and made Kat ghost the internet. When she had potato'd out and appeared as a witch for Halloween, there was another collective pants-shitting laughter fit, Kat ghosted us for good and it was Tevin's (and his shithead fanbase's) fault. To be fair, there was a lot of chat about how ugly she was and how she was getting blacked in a yellow thong caw, but nothing really too terrible. Being a streamer's girlfriend is a rough situation where even legitimately charming people earn some ire from the public. A 7/10 hottie who had recently started talking shit to one of the thinnest skinned people on the internet was a pretty tough act to follow, and for all the talk of change and maturing Dark did even back then, Leanna actually grew out of being an annoying She-Fadil into her own person, and even on her channel, when she dropped the Darksy-style commentary, was far more bearable than he ever was. Kat was just bad at games, didn't even take the controller from Phil once, and had a boring, charismaless personality. Total winner on camera, people.

The interactions between Panda and Phil showed that she at least was interested in him for whatever reason. Phil really was a dead fish at the best of times, but Panda ocasionally leaned in close, touched him, and showed she was comfortable enough around him. Kat being an autismo makes her body language a bit tougher to read, but she mostly behaves around Phil like traumatized dogs do around humans. It looks like she's ready to try to dodge a kick to the snout at the drop of a dime. And to be real: "I'm really happy to be here with......... Phil." and the borderline flinching when he touches her, as well as the only kiss she gave him live being a completely chaste peck on the cheek, and her needing to mentally prepare before doing so HEAVILY implies they haven't even fucked once. That is not a couple that has been intimate. This is a big part of Phil's newlyfound Flanders-like opposition to sex, romance and intimacy. Sour grapes is really all it comes down to. My machoor adult horsemaid doesn't want to touch me, therefore anyone who touches, kisses, hugs or enjoys being close to their partner physically is an immature child. Pigroach luck didn't even manage to strike and even the Derichiest of wheelchairs called Kat out for what she was: A clear Panda downgrade in every sense.

To me, the final nail in the coffin of what Phil and Kat were all about were the marriage pictures. Phil bursting out of his prom suit, nice and alcohol bloated, looking very robust, sticking it to both us detractors and Pandaree since he married around the same time he pulled the last chance marriage attempt with Leanna. Kat giving her generic toothy smile, not really looking happy, but looking well fed. Makeup by Homer Simpson's shotgun, as usual. Shitty dress and rings from supposedly the mall. Met the parents and married at their house on pretty much the same weekend, then went for takeout. Her eyes say "Look at me ma, I nailed me an open wallet!" No squeezing each other, just a shoulder grab for the picture, not unlike the first stream Kat was on. No feeding each other cake. No dancing. No kiss picture. We haven't really talked in depth about just how much of a sham Phil's marriage is, but I figure it's about time we laid out a big analysis like this. Oh and Phil, if it makes you mad, prove me wrong and bring Kat out to do pass the controller streams with you. Or you can play A Way Out together. C'mon, dude, look happy and joyful and so. Maybe for the next big reveal stream you can introduce us to Tyrone if your wheelchairs hit the 3K tips goal.

EDITS: Wording and typos.

I am not surprised if Kat is wating for Phil to pay most or all of his debt off, or at least be in an area where he pays little debt back to get a divorce. Now I dont know Bird Law but based on experiences with friends and family being divorced and wstching Two and Half Men, the wife gets huge beneifts from a divorce. For instance, my neighbor divorced his wife and she gets over 2k a month on alimony, allowing her to never work again as long as she doesnt remarry. Now I wouldnt be surprised if kat is waiting to divorce Phil so it doesnt look sus to the courts and to ensure Phil is out of debt so he can pay her alimony.

Although Kat seems slow and probably is willing to stay with Phil for potatoes and a roof over her head, so maybe she wont leave him. But I wouldnt be surprised if Kat uses her autism and fucked up past to force phil not to touch her especially during sex. Now we know Kat cheated on her ex with phil, so i say there is a good chance that Kat is or will cheat on Phil. Now this is a bathshit theory, but what if our black native autistic girl, Brazy, is working with Kat to get Phils millions. And then months from now we see Kat and Brazy living it up in Phils condo with Tyrone and Jim doing lines of coke. While Phil is renting a small apartment playing games and his neighbors banging on his wall to stfu.

Divorce court doesn't give a fuck about debt. They care what you gross and the lifestyle she was accustomed to living. If he needs more money, he'd have to get another job.

I have a question. When Khet inevitably divorces DSP (or cheats on him), and they go their separate ways, does she go radio silent (at least from detractors and DSP fans) like Panda, or does she do an interview/tell all with someone like LSB or Agent Proper, etc?

You can bet someone will offer her money for it, so quite possible.

Khet divorcing Phil eventually feels more inevitable than simply a likely outcome. Phil will get a decent lawyer, so he might just get gutted on alimony but manage to keep da haus. This will be the next "bankruptcy big" arc, I believe. Starting date... Whenever Kat feels she'd get more money from being divorced than she gets from being married.

Phil will lose again in the end, but he won't lose as hard as he could have, so it will be touted as a win. Kat could get as much as half the income he used to earn while they were together, and she'd be owed this even if the whales dried up. If Kat brings up the vest streak months and gets a good lawyer, she could be looking at 4-5k alimony, best case scenario. Having a sob story of a past helps, and she could even list Jenna as a dependent, then go back to ignoring her. Eurofag here, so this is how'd it work here, excuse me if it's not accurate to Burgerland. But I've read enough stories to be confident it's roughly the same.

Sadly for us, all we get out of that is Phil being finally raked over the coals as he should be. A tell-all is absolutely unlikely unless Panda gets salty about Kat profitting like mad off the pigroach and steps forward. It would just be used as a show of malice and spite by Phil's lawyers and fuck over Kat's interests.

That, and Kat legitimately has nothing interesting to tell. They sleep in separate rooms, don't touch each other, and are extremely boring potted plant people. They play vidya separately, listen to shitty music, go out to eat all the time and probably haven't had sex in ages. (Read: never) Unless Jhemsper The Son somehow crawled out of a meteorite during their space needle trip and is actually a Kryptonian assuming the shape of a declawed cat as a disguise, Kat has absolutely no fun stories about Snortso. She's on happy pills now and Phil used to be. The only things getting hard or wet in the Snort Fort are Phil's disgusting hair grease lumps.

Panda could at least confirm what we already know. Phil was always more interested in Jahn Rhambhoe, wrasslin' and street fighter, but they at least took vacations together and got in bed once at a minimum. Mostly stuff we already know, too: Phil's probably in the closet, Phil's a minuteman, Phil's probably small-ish but not worryingly small, Phil's sex drive was fucking murdered by the famous "KHAKTAIL of medicashunnnn" he was on as a teenager. Official confirmation would be nice, but even this is unlikely to happen. Panda's moved on, and I don't think she views Phil very disfavourably.

Tl;dr: Nothing interesting to hear from the horse's mouth, and the bear is long asleep.

Excellent post! But that one really hits the nail on the head IMO. I hadn't really thought about that. For the record, I think she would do it. As Penultimate said, somebody would offer her money, and at a certain point I just dont think she could turn it down. If she's willing to sit there and let her eardrums be blown out for the sake of "hair tricks", I think she can probably be talked into anything. Another thing I'm curious about is how bankruptcy might affect alimony? I'll Google it and do a little digging, but im willing to bet its on a case by case basis, depending on how good your attorney is, what kinda judge you get, it may even depend on the state you're in, etc.

And as a resident of "burgerland" (offense taken lol), I find it hard to believe that other countries have it worse off than we do when it comes to divorce, but you make it sound pretty rough. Let's just call it a push, and say we have it equally as bad. That really would suck if there is some kind of bankruptcy shield from alimony/divorce though. It's also not like it was a combined BK, it was only in his name.

Except practically all his debt was wiped with the bankruptcy. With the credit cards discharged he only has a $40k deficiency on the Connecticut condo which is more than covered by his ~$120k equity on the Washington place even if it is enforceable. That plus his high income means he is already a decent target if that is her angle. Unless I'm misunderstanding you and "all his debt" means the WA mortgage, but that will not be paid off until 2044 (30 year mortgage). If that's her scam it's a hilariously bad one.

Washington alimony law is also intentionally vague - I posted it way upthread but it may as well say "here are some guidelines but it's really the judge's discretion". The concept of at-fault divorce simply does not exist out there and the discussion of "equitable distribution of property" explicitly states that a 50-50 split is not the preferred/default/whatever. For alimony, the standard is "changes in standard of living"; I believe this means that his income, spending, and sole ownership of the house + car could count against him but the bankruptcy would not.

In short: It'd be a gamble if she left him today and it'd be a gamble if she left him 10 years from now. It's unlikely that he could get anything out of her in a divorce but he's definitely petty enough to try.

Personally I think it is more likely than not that she'll leave him but it'll be more to do with him being in actual financial trouble (car trouble, major home repairs, Hospital Saga v2.0, parents not giving him money anymore) to the point it impacts her. It's not about getting money out of him in divorce court, it's about getting that money from a better mark.
