This meltdown shows how toxic these circles are. I could write this same post in numerous threads here about social justice or Rat King cows.

They build their entire identity on their labels and politics. It's all they'll talk about online, it likely consumes most of their thoughts and then, to top it off, they surround themselves with others doing the same. It's a relentless, constant tweet-assault of everything that's terrible in the world (according to them) and how much they're suffering (according to them).

They choose to surround themselves with misery, plea for attention and pick futile fights online against people equally entrenched with their own opposite views. They lose any personality they once had to focus on how terrible it is being trans/disabled/black/a woman etc. All that has to have an emotional and mental toll.

None of them would listen to advice but they need to come to terms with the fact not all people will see them as women (in Katelyn's case). They need to back away from this toxic cycle and use social media like millions of others do - to chat about their favourite TV show, what they cooked for dinner, the fun day out with the family etc. Stop crying into your pillow because of 'meanies' on the internet and focus on real life, family and proper friendships.

Blanchard is a hot topic for troons since he is popularly attributed for the theory that separates people with legitimate gender dysphoria from autogynephiles.

Dude's 71 years old and can probably retire any time he wants so I don't think "making a living" even rings true at this point. It's more "making a fortune".

In the case of children being put on hormones and puberty blockers, do the effects reverse if they decide they're not trans at like.. 16 or 17, when their bodies are still developing/going through puberty?

I know in some cases, some physical changes are permanent.

Puberty blockers? Maybe. Hormones? No.

Not enough studies have been done on the long term effects of blockers, but the FDA now has them on their radar. Here's an article about now adult women that took puberty blockers- specifically Lupron- when they were girls. Not for troon reasons, but actual precocious puberty.

Hormones, natural and synthetic, can hang around in the body for a long time, even after a person stops taking them artificially. Hormones are stored in fat cells, and we now know those fat cells will actively secrete the saved up hormones, rather than just storing them. So all that testosterone is still leaching out into a FTM's system, up to years later. Testosterone in females is not good, to say the least (See Eastern Bloc: Women's Athletics)

The biggest issue is almost zero kids go off the blockers. Once they're put on the trans track, going from blockers to hormones is near 100%
