Careercow Keith Olbermann - A-logging commentator and writer with a massive hate-boner for Trump.

He's been going on all fucking day about the Rittenhouse stuff. He is going to stroke out if he keeps this up.
I used to think KO was just a little immature, then I thought he was just a pushy, arrogant, right-side-of-history moralizer.... but now I wonder if he's legit got a mental issue....

Even Movie Bob, who openly desires genocide against everyone in Iowa keeps a cooler demeanor when asked to discuss someone he doesn't like.... Keith on the other hand?

If he's not being in-character as an Alex-Jones clone? He could've fooled me.

Got some more tweets he called a gay man a whore and more rittenhouse tweets 64341A75-4EAE-40B7-98C6-1199A0521E7C.jpeg4ED5C338-8725-42FD-9F8C-F6D6E727844F.jpeg7231085F-324B-499C-8296-E97D974D12F5.jpeg42197FE5-1B97-495E-8B2F-062E63BBB797.jpeg9780F093-EF0D-4B0A-AF57-EC0ABAF70464.jpeg13B2E2DD-B09B-4EB7-9ED5-6D7FFB0B5944.jpeg1213AA99-7857-4DCD-8B58-FDCAC1A40A48.jpegCAD986E2-0BB7-425B-8772-D68A85F6803E.jpeg09CAFC1D-6AE2-434A-9A3A-09B1F75017E8.jpeg5CB3EDEA-DEB6-4A3F-AE2B-4AC69FFA20AD.jpegBE286459-7AC2-4FAA-9F5B-FA78F72477DF.jpeg

I do too. As a matter of fact, I'm inclined to think he really does have something. Drug induced, or congenital? IDK, but I really do suspect he has something that's gone either undiagnosed and unchecked--or--diagnosed and he's noncompliant. I'd buy either one.

I used to watch Olbermann pretty faithfully on MSNBC back in the W days. I (dumbly as hell thought) the guy was charismatic and kinda funny. But when Obama got in, and right before, was when I noticed...something wasn't quite right with ol' Keith. Hell--I even silently wondered if Rachel Maddow was seeing it too since she seemed to give off vibes of detecting his crazy and not knowing how to process it. But maybe I was reading way too much into a bullshit ass libtard show.

But then when he got booted from MSNBC, it looked to me like ol' Keith's getting passed around like a dollar store party favor. Guy can't keep a job to save his life. He started reminding me of the character D.O. Gurerro from Airport. Eventually ol' D.O. became self-aware enough to realize he'd be worth much more dead than alive to his poor wife and kids. Olbermann will never have such insight. Can't see him developing the introspection and humility to do so.

It was much more jarring to me because I was just a young'un during his SportsCenter days, so seeing him go from happy Loony-Tunes references guy to scowling at the right was much more of a personal shock, as opposed to just seeing him go from merely disliking Republicans to being in a frothing RAGE if one single R-registered voter buys as much as a hot dog within 40 yards of him...

The pure nastiness just started leaking around the edges, and the fact he couldn't go more than a month without nuking his employment with needlessly aggressive tweets and such? Nothing like I remember him from 1998, it's like, either he was getting the BEST psychological care/drugs money could buy when still working out of Bristol, or he has gone insane.

Either way.... political punditry? It's a Hell of a drug, kids. NOT EVEN ONCE>

IIRC he was suspended for a time in 2008 for not disclosing a campaign donation or some such. But Maddow was frequently filling in for him even around that time. It felt like he was on borrowed time.

I always thought he was channelling Howard Beale from Network as his schitck. Maybe he's channeled it for so long he's gone Beale himself

look at Palmer report for example he is just bat shit insane he is like Keith but doesn’t use videos and is just as bad as him
I remember when Keith was just a sportscaster on ESPN and later Fox Sports Net. Never was impressed with him. But he's really gone off the deep end.
we need to bring back asylums or some form of eugenics for people like Keith although I would wonder what his reaction be if he saw this thread

The 90's seemed to be the launch of pop-culture self awareness. Sprinkle a few quirky references in your highlights, as well as an occasional highbrow one that only the faggots who read The New Yorker could like, and all of the sudden you're a "legend".

I truly think Keith is an evil dude. Beyond hope, beyond salvation. If he got run over by a bus I'd feel almost as good as I did when the kid got acquitted.

In the ESPN oral history These Guys Have All the Fun, a lot of Olbermann's old employers and colleagues all agreed that Keith was brilliant, but he could be nearly impossible to work with whenever he felt inconvenienced or slighted. Look up the launch of ESPN2, when Olbermann was transferred over to help launch that network, but they were also expecting him to wear a leather jacket over casual clothing in an effort to look more "hip", and how he introduced the inaugural broadcast on the new network as "the end of my career".

Also, when Olbermann returned to ESPN a few years ago, management stipulated that he was not permitted to enter the Bristol, Connecticut studio for any reason; he had to broadcast his segments from New York instead. They might have still been pissed about the time that Keith went on The Daily Show in 1997, well before Jon Stewart took over for Craig Kilborn (another former ESPN SportsCenter alumnus), and said that Bristol was the most godforsaken place on Earth.

If he's got a diagnosable mental condition, my money's on NPD. Narcissists get nastier as they get older, or as their ability to remain in control and on top of their profession (or whatever else their ego is focused upon) slips away. Olbermann's notoriously difficult to work with, has burned a lot of bridges, and just gets more resentful, vicious, and unhinged as time goes by and his career remains in the shitter.

Being a has-been of little consequence is absolutely intolerable to him, but I'm certain he tells himself it's entirely due to enemies who have backstabbed and betrayed him. And of course, he's mean, vindictive. lacking in empathy or humilty, and is never wrong. It's pretty classic NPD shit, as is his increasing disconnect from consensus reaity as he retreats into one of his own embittered and paranoid imagining.

I used to watch him occasionally, back during Bush 2.0, and he always had a mean, biting edge even then; but he could be amusing and sharp-witted, and still seemed sane. Difficult and unpleasant, yes, but not unhinged like he is now.

But with the trump years and COVID i think it did even more damage to his mind and already fractured psyche
