🎨 Artcow Ken Penders - Former Archie Sonic Comic Writer/Artist

Ya know, several things about this are off, but it's still one of the best pieces of nonhuman character art he's made in a long time. Ken needs dat money to motivate him, I guess.

Yes, I'm sure you're very supportive of creators who get canceled, Ken. How do you feel about Scott Cawthon? Frank Miller? Or are they the wrong type of creator?

It’s all about the Benjamin’s as Omar would say and yet he wouldn’t support them or remain silent and only going after the right

Now accepting autistic ratings for spending so much time on this, lol.
I would have liked the make the explosion effects better and do better logos but I'm tired as crap and don't want to look at this any more. Still fun to do and good digital coloring practice.

So hopefully it isn't too apparent now that it's colored but the lineart was very crusty. This I don't really think is Ken's fault as he would have colored is own piece off of a better scan (I hope) whereas I was trying to edit the jpeg of his lineart pic. There are a few things about this piece where you can't really tell what the lineart was supposed to be, I don't know what half of that exploding shit is. I don't know what the line across her face was supposed to be, I thought it was a scar and went with it.

What I really dig in comic art is artists who can make the lineart and colors work well together, in Ken's illustration he was fighting with his own lines. Some get blurred out in the coloring process but some remain, and it adds to how muddy the end result was. His coloring style makes everything muddy as well, one of those dangers of coloring digitally and not knowing what you're doing. Man needs to not be allowed near a computer for art making. Or like, anything else.

Plantation mentality? So Penders is a Kaepernick fan who buys the "Poor oppressed black (and ONLY black) millionaire athletes" line?
Maybe he should read John mcwhoreter’s book but then again he would probably label Jews as white so there is that.
edit he just gave away his location ooops

You did a good job on these considering the material you had to work with. Again it shows that less is more, your version has less colors than the original, but this makes it more readable. I would have kept the close-up framing though since there is nothing in the background to work with. The full body image is a bit weird because of the poses. Her pose is strange in the sense that she looks so off-balance.

Ken's art is just bizarre, there is just so much a colorist can do. I'm afraid to say that despite your best efforts, you ended up polishing a turd.

Nobody gives a shit about Sonic Chronicles yet Penders is being autistic about it.

Speaking of autism, the Sonic encyclopedia has Shade seen as a character. Last time I checked, Penders isn't in the copyright either. Though as much as I would love Sega taking him down, probably won't happen.

trying to hard not to A-Log. Narcissists like Penders piss me off
He claims shade is the same character as julie-su now but shade is so fucking blatantly different and there's literally an official unmasked design of her. Her weird hair spikes aren't even the same. Mediocre bioware RPG character he initially claimedwas a ripoff of the dark leigon he's now been claiming he created it's so fucking blatantly false though as their sillouettes don't line up at all, a fact noticable even in his fucking NFT art lmao.

He also Didn't make scourge. He had a hand in "anti-sonic" as in "biker gang leader sonic" being a thing but scourge was a different guy's creation which while technically the same character is literally just that version of sonic after getting stuck in a fucked half-supersonic form and that or his nickname he gives himself (scourge) is in no way the creation of penders.
Forfurther proof of him not being behind scourge, note how he calls scourge's blatant chest scar a "tattoo". I can't remember how he got that actually, I think it was knuckles punching him really fucking hard in the gut at an angle or something.
EDIT: LOOKED IT UP IT WAS ACTUALLY KNUCKLES' DAD LMAO
