I haven't checked (who had that kind of time? Each song is co-written by up to 9 people!) but I don't think ethnicity factors much in such committee-manufactured crap.

Depends if you're a Nazi. Pretty sure some Nazis don't consider white Jews white, even though they're white.

"White" started as an exclusive club for the superior races, which is why Irish and Italians weren't in it originally. It makes sense Jews wouldn't be either.

The best mental gymnastics were in South Africa, where the Japanese were white and the Chinese weren't because they were on opposite sides of the cold war, and the Maoris were "honorary whites" so they could play them at rugby.

The apartheid regime was trying to keep down a very specific population. Skin color had a lot less to do with it than popularly believed. Maoris were not in that particular group.

Asians and "coloured" (mixed race) people couldn't vote for a long time either, until the Tricameral Parliament in 1983. They were seen as higher up the racial hierarchy, but still inferior.

The West Indian rebel cricket teams were given "honorary white" status as well.

Nonsense like this was why apartheid was ultimately intellectually indefensible. Even the people with the most interest in keeping it there couldn't justify it, even to themselves.

There's also the issue that a small minority can't control a hostile majority forever. This is why all the Nazi theories about Jews ruling the world are such bollocks. There's no way a religion of fewer than 20 million people could command all Western civilisation.
