Yeah I screencapped some examples and edited my post up above. He really does seem so normal. I guess it's kind of a lesson about how many normal people you know irl, who you think are out there doing fine but then underneath they are dealing with massive issues, pun not intended. I'm not surprised Ryan has crossover followers on both accounts as he has made it pretty obvious they are linked, and it is the first recommended account to pop up when you follow Mode (go on, ask me how I know this)... but I *am* surprised Kevin and the gf give enough of a shit about Ryan to follow both. More grooming behaviour I expect. Keep a close eye on your victim and you can control them better.

There's a word for the concept of a singular object being thought of as a miracle cure for everything. I wish I could remember it, but that's basically Kevin's perception of transitioning. I'm 50/50 as to whether or not Kevin is being willfully malicious with Ryan, but Kevin definitely believes transitioning is the end-all be-all for any negativity.

Their engagement with Ryan is what's most upsetting, because it's a threefold problem. First, they're telling Ryan to accept and internalize his poor self esteem and body image and sweep any perceived negativily from it under the rug rather than encourage any self-improvement. Then they belittle his individual thought by teaming up and questioning his decision to detransition using a bait-and-switch tactic, belittling his explanations while assuring him that they know more about his psyche than he does. Lastly, they are clearly attempting to demand control over his life when he explicitly told them not to, all in a clear attempt to remove any agency from him. Even if you believed transitioning is a helpful and realistic answer to Ryan's clear personal issues, the extent of which Kevin and his gremlin badger Ryan rather than respect his decision is inexcusable.
