Same here; this is by far my favorite thread and I would miss it terribly.

So it sounds like they’re pulling Gypsy scams. Agree to some type of manual labor, only complete some of it, then claim you agreed on a much higher price and less work for the job. When will they take the next step of rolling up together to intimidate the customer into paying? Or is that what separates this as a trans scam, the final step is beg on Twitter?

Wouldn't be surprised in the least if they were offered a written agreement and all, and missed the fact that a lot of their problems is just from being bigoted urban assholes--handshake agreements are usually saved for when you know each other well. I mean, yes, technically speaking farming is as easy as sticking a seed in the ground--but that'll be subsistence farming, and somebody like Kev-kev will get introduced fast to an old socialist maxim that may be key to making socialism work: Those who don't work, don't eat.
Actually, given that the tranch is run by a bunch of troons and it looks like they got only about half a clue among all of them...and it doesn't look like an area where you could forage enough to survive even in winter even if any of them knew how to do that... This might end with some highly-entertaining violence simply because they are a bunch of astoundingly incompetent subsistence farmers.

As much as I'd to watch an over-the-top season finale of Rancho Amhole, I think they're taking Kevin's inheritance and their e-begging bucks and buying eggs and bourbon at the grocery store.
I look forward to any subsistence farming when it happens though.

We've seen their attempt at subsistence farming already, which is why I say they're massively incompetent. They'd need in that climate to probably have their crops all in and stored for the winter already, as I'm not sure you could even manage a winter crop--I'm sure somebody here knows if I'm wrong about that.
Do we know if the animals survived the temps dropping a while back? I was watching the thread but maybe I missed the report on that. If those didn't survive, then the money they've got is likely the only thing delaying that season finale. (That and the inevitable implosion of the recycling agreement, because yeah, it sounds like they didn't even bother calculating what was the cheapest they could do the job for before they bid. It's happened where I live, and I think they finally did have it be a serious enough disaster that now your bid has to include your budget.)

at least Bonnie seems charged up about it but Penny has gone all “oh I’m a silly ditz uwu“ and seems to accepted being robbed of 3 WEEKS of hard labor (I shared tweets of them sharing there new Milwaukee chainsaws they bought for this gig). Well let’s do some maths.
Assuming they worked 8 hour days (could be 10 in the contracting world but due to weather and daylight let’s say 8, they worked 120 hours which would work out to around $91.60 per hour with a crew that was estimated to be 4 troons, Then they should get $22.90 an hour per person, not bad not knowing the acres.
Needless to say they have fuel costs, equipment costs (no idea if they bought or rented, I think bought as they looked new and Penny tweeted at Milwaukee) so after you take those costs in there margins are a lot less.
I think the client overspent on what he got and doesn’t want to pay what he thinks is half the work. I think the trooons will develop a bad rap in there community as people you don’t want to do business with.
oh and anyone who has a gentleman‘s agreement for some thing that takes more than a days work is retard. I get a gentleman’s agreement on payment terms if one party needs more time to pay but not for 3 weeks of work that involve, God knows how many hours they spent on the road, equipment they had to buy, liability and risk they take etc...
