To start, when you get capsular contraction, you go back in to get a pill for pain, and then the doc will squeeze the fuck outta the thing to basically crush/pop the scar tissue developing and massage it down. Mind you this was back in the late 80's early 90's so things may have changed, though I can't imagine how else they'd mitigate that scenario.
It's suggested to use a stretchy trainer-type bra to start after the bandages are removed. I believe the subpectoral placement aids in keeping the things where they belong. Otherwise just get a nice nightgown that is loose to wear as you heal. There really is no "aftercare" per se. Just keep the area clean - no bathing or showering for a while (Kevin has no problem with that lmao).
I went in for the bandage removal so he could manage expectations and see how the healing was proceeding. Yes they are hard and high on the chest to start, but the swelling and tightness will recede and your more natural silhouette will begin to develop instead of the two-halves-of-a-cantaloupe look you have for a few months after.
