He is an ugly fucker, but it's the normal kind of ugly in that he is not hideous, he just needs to take a bit of care with his haircut and dress better and he would pass for an average-looking bloke.

It's unfortunate about his eye, but there is little that can be done about that.

Maybe regularly going to the gym or swimming, like not trying to look like a muscle-bound freak, just enough that it is clear that he takes enough care of himself.

He would then basically pass for an average guy.

This renforces my belief that the squad won't break up unless one is lovedbombed away, one demands change, or one can't provide housing/finance anymore. The 3 seem to provide each other with "No, you're perfect, you're the best, you should keep as you are," "you too, keep indulging in your vices!" to each other. They're their own circle of asspatters, their own "us" who are always so similar and agree (or brow beat each other into agreeing) on everything versus "them", the three who constantly uplift each other and shoot everyone not them down - because their polymate loves them for their real, AWFUL, selves who don't want to change. There was a ton of other shit that went on, but basically, she had to be in charge all the time, and it resulted in her losing a lot of education and employment opportunities, pissing off the specialists so that they refused to treat her severe endometriosis and just passed her around like a bag of rubbish, and got scammed over and over again by bisexual BDP chicks who'd let her tie them up in exchange for being 'taken care of'.

She wasn't a narcissist, but I'd honestly compare her to people like Christian scientists who'd happily die of tetanus to prove to the haters how special they are.
