1. Anyone with the kind of hair you aren't supposed to shampoo daily will tell you still usually need to condition daily. And it's also normally thick curly hair that has to lessen how often it gets washed. Thin finer hair benefits from frequent washes but you need good shampoo that won't leave build up. Good doesn't even mean expensive, just check the reviews and ingredients and you can find stuff for around $6 for pretty big bottles.

Fag with long, thick hair here. Shampooing daily is a good way to completely fuck your hair up, especially if you use something fairly strong (IE: head and shoulders, anti-dandruff shampoos, etc) but conditioning at -least- every other time you shower and running some water through it is good for keeping your head from looking like a greasy, disgusting mop (like Kevin) and it even makes your hair look nicer if it was in a poor state to begin with. You need oils in your hair to keep it healthy, and shampooing daily basically strips all that shit out. This is doubly important if you don't have shitty, wispy troon hair. I only shampoo twice a week or my hair gets really brittle and dry, but it seems like Kevin is well past the point of that mattering, if it ever did to begin with. There's no saving that shit, he would genuinely be better off shaving his head and getting a wig at this point. May even help him pass marginally better (Optimistic, I know.)

Hair fall happens in the shower because that’s when the hair is being combed or raked through with your hands. Hair follicles have 4 phases: growth (anagen), transition (catagen), resting (telogen), and shedding (exogen). Shampoo doesn’t *magically* make your hair fall out. ETA @HARSH NOISE is also spot on about scalp health. Shampoos can be very drying, depending on the brand/purpose. A scalp stripped of all the natural oils and such is going to look very unhappy: possibly flaking, extra greasiness, stuff like that. My comments were more about the idea that properly timed bathing could somehow cause a man’s hair to give up and yeet itself into the world’s most disgusting shower drain.

In some of these circles, some women will "help" their fellow ladies, and by help I mean give them the most godawful advice imaginable. Does Kathy prefer to do natural eyeliner? Tell her she'll look AMAZING doing a thick cateye liner look. Stacey has such long, gorgeous hair. Tell her to get it cut into a bob. It's very interesting to observe (as a woman) and to see how some will try to put others down by recommending things that will make them look like shit. It's a defense mechanism that occurs when women feel threatened in the presence of one with "high market value" (I can't think of a better term).
Now, where does Kevin fit into all of this?
Well we already know that Kevin upkeeps his side-shave because a fellow troon recommended he do it. I think this could have been one of the worst things Kevin has done to his hair. I had an undercut for eight years and the only way it could be fixed was to cut off all my hair and start over completely.
