Dont want to see small farmers suffer, but kind of agree with Josie. Dont put all your eggs into one government subsidized soy-and-HFCS constructed basket.

No proof Biden orders caused sudden corn, soybean price drops

During his first 48 hours in office, President Joe Biden signed a record number of executive orders and has continued issuing more, with many aimed at fighting the coronavirus pandemic or reversing orders issued by President Donald Trump.

Did any of Biden’s initial orders cost farmers a bushel full of cash by causing the price of corn and soybeans to plummet over 48 hours?

That’s the claim made in a widely shared Facebook post. The post is an image of a Jan. 23 tweet that was shared more than 30,000 times on Twitter and reads:

"Soybean price is down 70 cents per bushel in the last two days. Corn is down 50 cents per bushel in two days. For those who don’t know, a small farmer like me working 1,000 acres just lost $100,000 on a 200 bushel per acre average corn crop thanks to Biden’s executive orders."

The Facebook post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.)

There has been a sudden drop in these commodity prices, though arguably less than what the post claims. But experts PolitiFact spoke to said they saw no evidence that any of Biden’s orders, which have the force of law, were the cause of the changes, given that prices have been running high.

It’s not clear which of Biden’s early orders the post might be blaming. A Jan. 22 order asks the Department of Agriculture to consider expanding and extending federal nutrition assistance programs.

Market was due for correction; other factors in play

Looking at changes between Jan. 20 — the date of Biden’s inauguration and his first executive orders — to Jan. 23, the date of the tweet — soybean prices dropped 58 or 59 cents and corn prices 19 or 22 cents per bushel, depending on the contract, said Ben Brown, an agricultural and applied economics professor at the University of Missouri.

Brown said the abrupt declines were not surprising, because prices have recently exceeded $13 per bushel for soybeans and $5 per bushel for corn, as crop supplies have been tight.

"Corn and soybean markets built strong gains in the markets over the last couple months with no major correction, leaving them vulnerable to last week’s action," he said.

"I find no evidence to suggest that Biden’s executive orders caused the dramatic decrease" in prices, Brown said, noting that most of the orders "were already known and any impact to commodity markets were built in."

Looking at price changes another way — between Jan. 21 and 22, the two days after the first executive orders — the declines were 79 or 84 cents on soybeans, depending on the contract, and 26 to 28 cents on corn, said Aaron Smith, professor of agricultural and resource economics at the University of Tennessee.

"Markets are simultaneously digesting data from multiple sources, so attributing declines or increases to one event over a three-day period should be done cautiously," Smith said.

Because corn and soybean prices have been rising since August, driven by strong export sales, global weather concerns and other factors, "a short-term correction and price consolidation was overdue," he said.

Many factors led to the price declines during Biden’s first days in office, Smith said, including beneficial rainfall and weather forecasts in South America; COVID-19 concerns related to new strains of the virus and a slower than expected pace of vaccinations; selling based on profit taking; and the change in the presidential administration.

Our ruling

A widely shared Facebook post showing a picture of a tweet claimed that soybeans dropped 70 cents and corn 50 cents per bushel in two days, causing farmers to lose big money, "thanks to Biden’s executive orders."

The prices of both commodities did drop significantly, though arguably less than the post claims, during Biden’s first days in office.

But two experts said they saw no evidence that any of the orders issued by Biden during those first days caused the price drops. The experts said the drops were not surprising, given that prices for both commodities had been running high, and that multiple factors were at play.

We rate the post Mostly False.

I really wish Kevin could spend a day in a true and honest woman's body, just so he would finally be able to achieve an actual female orgasm, only to spend the rest of his pitiful existence chasing that dragon and realizing that his "vag" isn't actually close to the real thing.
It's pretty funny you use the word "chasing the Dragon" since that term normally referrs to chasing the ultimate high that most people only achieve once (there first time using) and keep trying to rekindle that first ultimate high.

Kevin has never ever known what it's like to have it so it's even funnier that he is chasing the Dragon and he doesn't even know what it looks like.

More tales from the ranch. More troons not really giving a shit.

They're taking casualties. Meh.

Fuck me is there like a mandate on the ranch that everybody has to be an unlikeable cunt? Like fuck me José you animal killing fuck, could you not be a cumbrain for more than a minute and empathise with the animals you murder via negligence and the farmers who may be suffering?

Look, powerlevel, MOTI, whatever, but-

Looking after chickens really isn't that fucking hard. You have a coop with a sleeping space off the ground, and a nesting box in the coop filled with sawdust/straw where they lay their eggs, and that's fucking it. After like two days of you bullying them into the coop at sundown, they learn to put themselves to sleep when it gets dark, and then all you gotta do is bolt the door at sunset to keep predators out. You unbolt the door in the morning to let them out to scavenge, make sure the feeders are topped up (presumably, their weird rocky soil provides enough grit you don't even need a grit feeder), and then chuck corn/kitchen scraps for them in the afternoon. Done.

I've got chickens, they've been through subzero temperatures and sure, they're not wild about it, but they keep laying, the eggs don't freeze, and the worst they do is huddle in the coop and yell at the snow (because that's what chickens do with shit they don't like, they scream at it). This is fucking basic animal husbandry, all you need is a small shed with off-the-ground perches and an off-the-ground box lined with sawdust/straw for laying. And chickens lay in the mornings ime, so why the fuck is there even time for the eggs to freeze if you're collecting regularly at noon????? I'm not some PETA retard, but chickens are so damn easy to look after, and it makes me fucking mad that these assholes can't even manage that.

Yeah as a fellow chicken manager this shit is just irresponsible and sad. Out of all the farm animals to care for chickens are by far the easiest and most resilient to take care of. These faggots should stick to ants
At this rate I think we should just open a ranch next door to them, it would be 100x more fun, more profitable and there would be more sex.

I don't really care if this guy was lying or not. The problem is that Jose's first gut reaction was to say "ha ha LOL" followed by "diversity Diversify bitch" proving that he has no idea what he's talking about and he thinks that whatever Biden may or may not of done was for social justice and not because Soy crops are such a loss leader that not even China wants to cultivate them.

Edit: Miss read, it said "Diversify" bitch, not "Diversity". So it wasn't for social justice, it was just the farming equivalent of telling somebody to "learn to code". Ignoring the fact that it takes a huge amount of time and cost to change out a crop cycle because Biden said so, Jose is still a hatful idiot.

This just shows their pure hatred for anyone who doesn't tow the Biden line and is a (gasp) straight white working class American. Really fuck these guys. They cant keep chickens alive in the cold. People have been keeping chickens alive in much colder climates and before the advent of insulated foam, fibreglass, penicillin, long life high nutrition chickenfeed, electrical heating, a 24h available digital encyclopaedia covering every single aspect of chicken raising with images and video all streamed to the palm of their hand.

I bet the only thing these faggots have googled in regards to chickens is "Close-ups of cloacas".

I think I remember him heavy hinting he gave a BJ to someone on the ranch (probs Penny), he said something like “Goodness I LOVE giving BJs” some time before he was ok to touch himself.

Imagine counting a blowjob as sex and not just a thing done to/by you (probably before the real sex). Desperate virgin tier shit.

Is that friend Kiwifarms? It's funny he says this after @Punished Spoon said Kevin was banned from Transformer communities.

I also think it's funny that he blames "people being triggered by little/ABDL stuff" for no one liking him. That's just the shit icing on the cake, Kevin. The real reason is that you're a shrieking spaz who either acts like a complete asshole to people or a creepy, sex pervert groomer.

Rate me late but this seems to be an overwhelming common theme among troons that they have to bring up their trooness and their sex lives constantly as well as their 'safety level' and the ever classic 'praise for inclusivity while fishing for compliments' posts.

People who want to look at and talk about collectable toys do not want to know about the sex lives or gender of the people collecting. They just want your opinions, want to know packaging quality, item quality, how well items shipped, if they had damage, the quality of the paint job, how the company handled issues, and high quality pictures of either the items themselves or how people are rigging up their displays to show their expensive plastic or polystone bits in the best possible light. Some of them will also discuss making custom items and/or how to repair simple or complex problems that can occur when the post office or courier decides to play football with your package.

There is nothing, and I mean nothing, more annoying than a person derailing a conversation or spamming searches/tags with their personal bullshit.

Considering that his PiV sex wasn’t even a PiV sex, as the dick involved was limp, and his wound is only, what, 5 cm deep?, he had 0 sex. Wound was merely grazed, i doubt he felt anything.

“Oh gosh golly my nerves must have not woken up yet” is what he keeps telling himself, but those nerves are in a fucking coma. Pull the plug, you poor bitch, you need to move on and find other ways to coom.

Not to be gross, but Kevin admits that he has a diaper fetish, and Hailey clearly knows this, and Hailey is clearly into deviant sex, so I have no doubt that neither of them care about prepping for the act and the grossness that would ensue. If Hailey can stomach sticking his tongue into Kevin's am hole, then clearly scat doesn't gross him out (and I'd imagine the am hole is much nastier than scat cause who knows what's festering in there).

I almost at this point want to be the one who alerts PETA to their ranch, but 1) PETA is probably totally pozzed so probably would instead urge people to donate to the tranch to help the poor trannies take care of their animals and 2) PETA doesn't actually give a shit about animals and their welfare.

Someone I know is currently dealing with a shady dealer who keeps his dogs in horrendous conditions and doesn't bother getting the dogs vaccinated and keeping them healthy, then sells them to people for a high price, then ghosts his customers when their puppy dies due to conditions that should have never happened if he was an ethical breeder and actually cared about his animals and kept up with their veterinary needs.

The fact they don't bother to fix their animals, buy good food for them, ensure they have a proper shelter, nor get them veterinary care really makes me angry. They are animal hoarders who clearly think that evolution means animals can just survive on their own with minimal input of human intervention. Which yeah, it is amazing that some animals can do that, but those are usually the ones who can find natural habitat to sustain themselves and found a shelter that helps shield them from the extremities, and are bred specifically to survive in those harsh climates.

Jesus christ, I honestly hope they get more media attention, because the more that is shown of their shithole tranch, the more people will see the inhumane conditions and speak out against it.

And while some people might try to help, due to their concern about the animals, I can guarantee the locals have completely washed themselves of any neighborly help, due to being called fascists, nazis, and transphobes.

Small town people certainly realize that people have eccentricities, in fact, a lot of people who go into rural living have them, but when you shit talk your community, and clearly state that it's "Us vs Them", well, rural people will certainly let that come to reality. They might not be big city folk, but they do try to get along with those who live around them, unless of course you paint all of them in a bad light and try to tell them they're the ones who should be unwelcome.

The tranch is fucked at this point. No one is going to come harass them or vandalize their compound, but they certainly won't give a shit what happens to them or if they need help. And of course, instead of spending what money they do receive on the animals they already do have, they'll just spend the money on acquiring more animals to replace the ones that died. (:_(

Ah big derp, updated.

I was wrong, it wasn't about social justice, it was about telling someone the farming Equivalent "learn to code" like its easy to swap up hecters of crop on a dime as well as maintain a diverse variety of profitable and soil homogenous crops. José is still a retard and a man.

That kookaburra plush is pretty cute but the cuteness is gone once you realize that a 30 something year old troon bought it for probably too many grift bucks instead of it going to a kid who deserves it more.

Also its hard to not get MATI once stuff like animal abuse is thrown into the mix. At least Kevin and the Tranch are retarded and mostly entertaining while the Zoosadist threads are just depressing.

The way people like that talk proves the only farming experience they have is from Harvest Moon or Terraria. The sad thing is, farming and ranching was one of the first trappings of civilization our unga bunga ancestors figured out so I'm of the opinion literally anyone can do it if they have the will. But these people don't have the will. They think farming will be an idyllic, simple life and the cold reality is it's backbreaking, thankless work. Now, it can be rewarding and even fun at times, but it very much requires you to not alienate your community so you can realx and enjoy the time you're not slaving away. But instead of being an adult and admitting they aren't cut out for all that work they have to show the world that they're filled with DETERMINATION and keep failing so miserably the only proper response is to point and laugh, even as we feel sorry for the animals they ranch.

When have the ranchers ever been known for being respectful?
