Sounds fun, count me in. Just disable forced pvp, it's trash in this game. If you could only enable it in some cells (for example the military base) it would be much better, but with all the syncs issues in MP, dogshit shooting system and stunlocking it's just too unpredictable to be fun.
 
Shouldn't be too hard to make, its hard to keep it up on the workshop (lol)
Didn't the devs nuke the first "official" Project Dindu mod? It was the only reason why I considered buying it, but since the devs are moral faggots, I never bothered paying for it and I even lost interest in playing it.
 
i could make a 100 point list of mods i'd want, but honestly i'd play whatever. xp would definitely need to be multiplied by at least 3 to not be torturous.
 
@Lieutenant Rasczak btw the new build is fucky with AMD cards where it causes memory leaks at the start of the game. So even if you factory reset the game by deleting premade settings for 41, the RAM goes ham as the devs didn't optimize the game for for all graphic cards. Which causes a freeze and you are unable to load in past the intro screen.

Infection cure mod, on or off
Nah, keep it hardcore. It will force people to actually cooperate rather just go yolo-solo with 5 cures in their backpack.
Scrap armor/weapons/guns/ammo mod on or off
B42 adds that, so we can skip them I think.
Silencer mods, yes or no (and should they be limited)
Maxwell's mod is great for that, you find like 0-2 in a gun shop on normal settings, pretty much never on rarer loot. Tested on like 5+ playthroughs at least. But with bigger playercount I think they're obsolete, even just playing with 1-2 other people makes this game 100x easier.

Food scarcity mod (simulates dwindling supplies as time goes) on or off?
The server will likely die before food runs out anyway.
NPCs on or off?
Off. I like the Bandits mod, but it's very unstable, the bandits are unbalanced because they see through walls, like you have some GPS tracker on yourself all the time, it needs some tuning, reduced spawns and bugfixes mainly.
Bike mod, on or off? (It gives major stamina XP, I think it's a bit broken)
I'm cool with autotsar's bikes and motorcycles.
Which gun mods and associated gun parts mod to use
Noir's Rifle Slings
[VFE] VANILLA FIREARMS EXPANSION (B41) + maybe the realistic durability submod for it
My own mod collection I use to play with friends is 288 mods, but I know people hate downloading 5 GB of mods. Those are I think the most important one's. It's pretty well curated, updated on a regular basis and tested extensively, but still probably too much for some people. I could link it though.
Zombie population
Normal is too easy. High is probably the best middle ground for density and optimization. Very high/insane could be nice, but with zombie respawn off, I think that's even a better of an option.
Time before power outage
7 days for 2 hour days, 14 days for 1 hour days.
How do we communicate?
There is probably some voice proximity mod. I don't know of any non-glowing voice communicators. Is teamspeak still alive?

PVP off. It's dogshit.
 
Is there any point to having PvP on, other than griefing other players? I'm not saying that isn't a valid reason to have it on, but the combat isn't very interesting per se.
 
Not really, PVP isn't fun outside of a mutually agreed upon gun game-style arena with throwaway characters. The time investment versus reward of unmodded PVP just invites griefing.
 
i agree that pvp isn't worth having, too easy to grief and too much time lost on death. besides, it just isn't fun (unless the entire server is balanced around it). anyway, i think having zombies be stronger during the night adds a fun gameplay quirk. been trying it out with my friends and it adds a lot of flavor to the loop of building a base and gathering supplies, as well as making spur of the moment trips more exciting. also, while i dislike sprinters on their own, making them only appear at night lead to some really fun moments.
if i had to request mods, i think sapph's cooking is a good one, as well as ki5's vehicle collection and real seasons.
for qol, standardized experience is basically required to not have leveling be so tedious, and wake them up to fix the unfair building spawn mechanic not spawning zombies until you open the door.
as far as weapon mods go, i'm partial to guns of 93.
less importantly, i like to use several hair mods to make characters more unique, as well as a mod to add more colors.

True for most games, but PvP in Zomboid sucks ass, melee is mostly just push spamming, gunplay is awful in vanilla zomboid against zeds, yet alone other players lol.

It will definitely make the server alive longer, as without some crazy scarce loot/cryogenic winter/sprinters/16x pop the game becomes pretty easy in a group of 2-3 people.
Too bad he can't just put them all in one mod. I understand why he does it that way, but man, it really sucks sometimes when you're managing your modlist.

I am taking a break and much less active than b4, but I still pop in from time to time since Jason Thor Hall decided to self destruct at exactly the same time.
I might still buy the server slot for 30ish players in March or April then announce it, no promises. Just settled into the new job and spent savings on bills, food and a ludicrous amount of energy drinks, so thats why I didn't end up buying the slot.
Again. No promises. Hopefully I will save up enough to have the server up for a few months without thinking about finances.
