Reminds me of Dobson's thing way back where he insisted a single adult couldn't live off $100 worth of food for a month. He shot down attempts at explaining how that budget could be managable by saying "I don't want to eat like crap". In reality Dobby had no idea how much food costs because his parents buy all his food.
