UK King Charles is 'evicting Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage leaving them without a UK home - and offering the property to Prince Andrew'

  • The Palace purportedly chose to evict Harry and Meghan after release of 'Spare'
  • It is said Charles wants Andrew to move into the five-bed Frogmore Cottage
  • Duke of York currently resides at massive Royal Lodge despite paying peanuts

King Charles has decided to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their royal residence at Frogmore Cottage in favour of Prince Andrew, it has been claimed.

Buckingham Palace issued an eviction notice to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex days after Harry's memoir Spare - in which he made a series of sensational claims against the Royal Family - hit UK shelves in January, according to The Sun.

Instead, the Palace seeks to replace the pair with the disgraced Duke of York, who currently inhabits the larger Royal Lodge, the paper alleges.

Andrew is said to be resisting the move, but it is said Harry and Meghan will be forced to leave the cottage - their only remaining home in the UK - and fully complete their relocation to the US irrespective of whether Andrew moves in.

The revelation comes with preparations for King Charles' Coronation in May well underway amid speculation that Prince Harry may not receive an invitation.

MailOnline has contacted Buckingham Palace and Prince Harry's representatives for comment.

A Royal insider told The Sun of the move: 'This surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan's time in the UK.

Frogmore Cottage is a stone's throw away from the principal residence of the Prince and Princess of Wales
'Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week.

'But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.'

Frogmore Cottage, a grace and favour home on the Frogmore Estate in Windsor gifted to The Duke and Duchess by the late Queen in 2018 for their wedding, is the pair's only remaining residence in the UK.

The cottage is located just a stone's throw away from Adelaide Cottage - the principal residence of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

It is more like a mansion, with five bedrooms and sprawling gardens - and underwent a multi-million pound renovation in 2018-2019 before Harry and Meghan moved in.

It had previously been five separate properties for staff working on the Windsor Estate.

The whole renovation famously cost the Sovereign Grant £2.4million.

Harry and Meghan most recently renewed their lease on the property in May 2022, after Princess Eugenie and her partner - who moved in following the Duke and Duchess' 2020 departure - vacated the estate in a move to Portugal.

The pair are understood to be pressing ahead with their move to Montecito, California, but it is unknown whether they plan to fight the reported eviction.

It comes at a fragile time for Harry and Meghan who have seen their popularity ratings in the US drop significantly since the release of Spare.

News of their eviction comes days before Harry is expected to take part in an 'intimate' livestream chat with physician, author and addiction expert Gabor Maté to promote his memoir Spare.

More than a month after the release of the book royal fans can sign up to watch the Duke of Sussex discussing it with Dr Maté, and will also receive a free copy of Spare as well as the opportunity to submit questions to the prince.

The event, organised in collaboration with Harry's publishers Penguin Random House, will take place at 5pm UK time on Saturday March 4.

The pair are expected to talk about 'living with loss and the importance of personal healing', followed by a live Q and A.

Prince Andrew meanwhile is said to remain 'resolute' in his desire to remain at the Royal Lodge - a much larger property in Windsor.

But he may be forced to leave if his older brother decides to cut down the annual £249,000 grant that helps the Duke of York maintain the Lodge's upkeep.

Royal experts have said the prince must face up to reality and start 'living within his means' after he settled out of court with sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre following a multi-million-pound payment.

Socialite Lady Victoria Hervey claimed last week that Charles could also seek to reduce Andrew's yearly grant out of jealousy.

Speaking on GB News on Friday, Lady Victoria said: 'I think Charles, as the older brother, has always been a bit jealous of him [Prince Andrew]. He had a very successful military career for 20 years.

'I've heard that he's always been jealous of him. So as soon as the Queen has gone, the daggers are out.'

Referring specifically to the lodge at Windsor, Lady Victoria said: 'They've got time.

'But Charles has inherited how much money and yet, he can't help his brother out?

'Prince Andrew was made to settle [with Virginia Guiffre], he didn't have a choice, and then as soon as he was made to do it, they then just took everything else away, little by little.'

There is mounting speculation Andrew may be forced out of Royal Lodge as part of Charles' plan to cut royal costs. With a row brewing, Andrew has indicated he won't leave without a fight - but he has been 'selfish' by critics.

Incredibly he has a 60-plus year lease on the 30-room property and reportedly pays £250-a-week for it, which former MP Norman Baker, an expert on royal finances, told MailOnline 'wouldn't get you a cupboard in London'.

Mr Baker said: 'It's time Andrew started living within his means rather than expecting other people to subsidise his luxurious lifestyle.

'If he can't pay a commercial rent for the property with his own money, he should be evicted and relocate to somewhere much smaller. The taxpayer is subsidising him.’

I did read that before my post and my answer is so? He should be cut off completely.
It maybe a downgrade but sure is shit isn't a punishment
here is a pick of where he is moving
He's resisting it because he knows it's the next step to being slipped out of the family entirely. They won't just toss him out o his ear all at once, because it would draw to much attention and scandal. They'll just move him out of the public eye, wait a few years, and then take him around the back of a metaphorical wood shed. It'll be some form of exile, without financial support and no guards of any sort. Or it might be an actual wood shed, depending on how he comports himself in the meantime.

You know, this is going to be one of the few times a South Park episode actually affected someone IRL. That show has great reach. Shame its pozzed.

I know these two haven't been the best of people but the thought is hilarious.

The fact that they allegedly wanna sue Matt and Trey.....lmao. UK tabloids are such trashy fun.

But also there ain't a damn place they can escape to and not get recognized unless its like.....Antarctica or Noshkee Sweden.

How many stuff do they actually own in the cottage? They didn't even lived there more than few weeks.
Are they such hoarders they left plenty of personal belonging?

If so, they'll actually have to come back to UK and have staff to take all their crap with them.

And by the way, is it the place where Meghan put a giant gold bathtub and made a very exensive and kitch deco she didn't even pay for?

It just kills me how retarded Harry is. Like you get a free ride for life being rich and famous doing nothing else except winning the sperm lottery. Do some token military service, show up for charity events and coast through life in a way plebs can't imagine. Instead, he gave it up for no other real reason than some dumb whore told him he should. She also floors me. As the wife of a Prince all you have to do is pretend you care at charity events and get paid and that was too much? If the royal family had real balls, they'd just cut Henry off until the divorce was final and he came crawling back with his tail between his neutered legs.

Also any British royal marrying an American should be considered treason on both sides, because obviously. If Megan got her citizenship revoked over this, I'd laugh my ass off and say don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!

He should go a step further and strip them of their titles while Renaming them, Prince Blue Penis and His High Yellow Concubine.
They already did that, and I believe he's had any claims whatsoever to the throne stripped as well. He's royal in name only at this point. The only thing they couldn't strip was being the Duke of Sussex, because IIRC that would require an Act of Parliament.
Going to a Commonwealth country next is like saying your parents suck and you want to live away from them, but then become a squatter in one of their houses because you can't pay rent on your own.
Well, uh... that seems to fit the behavior of these two.
And crocodiles.
Koalas, snakes... its a long, long list full of venomous, poisonous, and generally toxic creatures which is why its perfectly understandable you don't want yet more showing up.

Imagine being seen as the worst people in your family you make a kiddy diddler look good. Meghan really did a number on the Bong family didn't she?

Harry had some oldfag distant relative from Luxembourg imply he should get a rope as his best means of escape from this situation.

I believe Harry and Megan had to repay the costs of the remodeling after they fucked off to Canada.

Not gonna happen unless she renounces it herself....and that's not gonna happen, either.

If it makes you feel any better Harry isn't actually Charles' son.
Yeah, I mean, it's literally why they let Harry bed the Nigress.
He's not Charles's crotchspawn, he can be sacrificed.

Harry has GOT to know it too. It's got to be a part of why he's so recalcitrant.

They were able to make South Park relevant again almost like a nod to the old times so kudos for at least that.

You would think they would know that trying to sue South Park is like punching a wall, a spiked wall.
