Lolcow KingCobraJFS / Josh Saunders - Amateur musician, YouTube Streamer, wandmaker, and self-proclaimed "sexy goth badboy". Perpetually circling the drain.

This is my thought too. Josh is going to join the Seroquel squad. That is if he even takes anything prescribed to him. At best he'll try it for a week and give up.
he’s just seeing a therapist, so most likely not. The therapist would have to suggest cobra sees a psychiatrist/or nurse practitioner (hopefully not an NP) and then he would get meds. After the first or second visit, he would most likely give up. Also, unless the place he seeing the therapist has someone on staff can prescribe meds, he would have to find someone, and, with Wyoming being a backwoods state, it’s going to be a little hard to find one without traveling for an hour.

Josh is funny but my prediction he'll just go downhill unless forced into a group home or something. Therapy won't do anything, he ain't gonna take his meds. He can't handle living on his own and will just drink himself to death if allowed to.
Group home saga is going to be epic. Also he’s Live

I think we would lose a lot of khantent then bc it would be way harder for josh to do random 7 hour drinking streams if living alone
I use to help at a group home and he will hate it. There will be a schedule, no drinking/drugs, no Door Dashing food, and chores. He will cry like he did when he was living in Clint’s basement.

Cobes isn't going to a group home. The older he gets the harder it is to find space in services like that, and Cobra is 32 going on 57. Clint has no intention of actually fighting him about it either. He'll spend money to keep boggy from wandering about toothless and homeless, but he doesn't wanna waste any more time. Getting Cobes to not run away or lock himself inside the hovel would take ages.

He's going to drink in his dead dog chair until he dies at 39 from drowning in vomit. Clint will do his performative weep about how utterly uncontrollable and unique Josh was, and live out the rest of his days with his slightly less embarrassing family.

The only way we'll get anything close to a group home is a court-mandated halfway house, after he breaks the law and only if Clint can't make the charges go way.

I know that he got arrested at a gas station recently for being a belligerent boglim, but even that was only because he refused to go to the tard center instead. There's no way he'll ever do something heinous enough that a judge will see value in wasting tax dollars on sheltering him. The system would rather throw his ass back on the streets than waste time trying to fix him.

Josh can live on his own fine. His apartments grubby but he can for the most part take care of himself and a cleaner or support worker is all he really needs. His problem is alcohol and especially others buying him alcohol. If he got help for his drinking and weens didn't get him kicked out of every place he can hang out he would live a decent life for a retard.

What kind of meds can you prescribe to an alcoholic anyway?
Revia is a medication used for opioid addiction but it functions well with alcohol, since it blocks the effects these things have on your opioid receptors anyway. In conjunction with regular counseling sessions, this can be extremely helpful from the jump. You have to be very careful to slowly ween Josh off any sort of alcohol or he'll suffer brain damage and Josh does not have many fuckin' neurons to part with. You can have him start at a low dose of Campral, which will help to keep him off the booze. Helps keep your neurotransmitters on the ball, it'll reduce cravings until you can determine if there's any underlying mood disorders that are causing the alcoholism (And there usually are) then you can begin to administer low doses of things like Zoloft.

In a lot of these cases you have to immediately address the alcoholism because of the conflict any mood stabilizers or anti-psychotics would have with alcohol. Usually you can do that with consistent therapy but in his case, that's never going to happen. His dependency is too great, he's too stubborn to accept the help.

You guys know more about Clint than I do but the question is how long is Clint going to be willing or able to pay for Josh to just live by himself drinking all day in some apartment. Because as time goes on that's all that's going to happen, Josh will have no money to pay rent and it will be up to Clint what to do.

In perpetuity. Clint literally does not give a fuck as long as Josh isn't being a direct problem. Josh is the sibling the rest of the family doesn't talk about and keeps locked in the basement occasionally throwing some food down there so he doesn't die. As long as Clints around Josh will "keep on rockin on, bud".

clint would literally pay for a studio apartment for the next 25 years rather than have cobes in his life. plus he's cobra's welfare payee so it's really our money that's keeping his son out of his hair...er, business

As long as Josh keeps getting his monthly SSI, he can cover his rent.

If he ever gets kicked out of his current place for whatever reason, I do think he will have a hard time finding other places but by no means impossible.

He makes more from donations than any job he could get right now.

Josh has a valid point that THE TROLLS will and can make anything he does a mess from finding a new place or working somewhere. It's Josh's own fault for not being able to keep his mouth shut, but the reality is he can't share anything in his life like he used to without a third-party being harassed, be it a place of employment, landlords, friends, etc.

Clint's cooking of the tax books is going to eventually be an issue, but who knows how long. It could be a very long time. He is consistently receiving more than SSI allows through donations in order for him to keep it.

One of the more overlooked details that contributed to Josh's current straits is him easily getting a Cash App card. Before such services existed, Clint was able to control his money much easier. Now with PayPal and CashApp, he can easily draw his account to the negative while Clint can only watch and get alerts.
