I think I am going to stop following this thread. I enjoy watching the abridged videos about Josh's life, the lore, and the strange cast of characters that surround him. Exceptional, but ultimately harmless, people are fascinating and help me gain perspective and self-awareness regarding my own issues. That said Josh seems to be entering the terminal downward spiral. Drugs, alcohol, and his own cognitive deficiencies are leading him down a path he can never return from, and that is honestly saddening to me. Josh, and people in general, can't be helped because he doesn't want to be helped. Most people who are fucking up their lives and recover have a moment of fear and trembling that awakens them to what they are actually doing. An event happens which makes them aware of how dangerous their lifestyle is forcing them to take stock of what they are doing and attempt to sort it out. Josh has had, from my perspective, several of these but has been unable or unwilling to recognize them. I don't want to see Josh destroy his mind and body anymore, or end up in a bad situation with some shady casual acquaintance that turns violent. Josh is, in the words of Hunter S. Thompson, "one of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die." Having certain elements of the internet actively working to destroy him by feeding into his delusions and dependencies is giving me hard Chris-chan vibes. I really don't enjoy seeing what would have been a harmless little goof degenerate to the level of mental instability in which he can be manipulated by sociopaths for their amusement and internet points.
