I think it's been brought up here before, but when the second doc crew followed him around, supposedly there were a handful of instances where he turned to them all giddy as they were out in public and asked "Did you hear? They said I smelled good!" and all kinds of shit to that effect. From what I recall, they became convinced he was actually hearing people say that shit all the time.

Yeah he outright has delusions and hallucinations. He believed his parents told him a random crush he was stalking since highschool killed herself because of his trolls but that her parents weren’t mad at him for it.

People sometimes forget that cobra is legitimately mentally ill on top of being a massive autistic retard. My big guess is some level of bipolar disorder, he has definitive depressive and manic episodes. There’s clear cut times when he’s clearly miserable and low energy and irritable and times when he’s inexplicably on top of the world elated and high energy. People assume it’s because of drugs which is a fair assessment but my personal armchair theory is bipolar disorder exasperated and triggered by alcohol and marijuana abuse. I think when he disappears for days on end it’s not always because he’s going on a bender but because the pendulum swing back from manic episode to depressive and he’s just so depressed and low energy he can’t do much more that lay around his apartment napping and being miserable

I think most of it is from a combination of substance abuse/ untreated mental illness. If he get off the drugs/booze and seek a therapist, it would do wonders for him, but he won’t do this.
