Weird, some posts a while back had me thinking about Clint's idea of punishment. I don't think he physically disciplined Cobes but whatever he did must have been more bizarre IE the punishment haircuts. It's like his idea was "I'm going to remove something that gives the boy happiness or a sense of pride". It's really weird that Clint made him cut his hair when he touts how proud he is of Cobes for being a rebel and going against the grain.

Also wasn't Clint thinking about building a cuck shack for Cobes so he could keep an eye on him? That would have been a good idea as long as the daughters are moved out. He's gotten weirder ever since his friends stopped coming around. Even just having his dad around to have a decent conversation with once a day would be a big improvement. Hell Cobes could go the airsoft route and start a gofundme for the little place, I'm sure theres people out there who would donate and he could pay Clint some rent.

I still hold onto that Cobes needs a tardwrangler who isn't his dad. A completely normal, adult man who can instill a sense of normalcy for Cobes. The way he acted around Mr. Green made him look a little more normal. Of course, the Mr. Green ween arc is long over and Cobra has regressed quite a bit since then.

Whether or not Clint punished Josh physically doesn't matter. Josh has ODD and would/will always act out against anything 'forced' onto him. The haircuts, taking away his guitar or similar privileges made Cobra resent his father and they were not appropriate ways to punish him, because he's autistic and ODD.
And just like with Chris Chan, had Cobra received therapy to learn how to deal with his autism as a kid rather than being mainstreamed, maybe Josh would have a job and a girlfriend now.

But that's neither here nor there, it's too late to have an intervention and Cobra will never, ever quit any of his vices. We're stuck watching this play out to the bitter end, be it bogtulism, a tooth infection or the duster.

Clint did punish him but it only made reinforced his oppositional defiant disorder. He would give him "punishment haircuts" where if he acted out he was forced to cut his hair which he was growing out to look like Ozzy which really pissed Cobes off. He would also take away his access to the internet and his phone to punish him too.

To be clear I don't care either way what Clint does but if we're gonna debate this I don't feel like you need to go through Clint's entire history with Josh to reach a conclusion. Right now, today, if Cobes were fucking up his taxes or getting kicked out of his apartment Clint would show up to fix everything and get his BOY into a new bog cave, but he wouldn't make that conditional on Cobes improving anything about his life.

Just because reddit schizos have a hate boner for Clint, doesn't mean he hasn't failed Josh every step of the way. Especially recently, where all we see from Clint is him feeding Josh's delusions while completely ignoring the critical health issues he currently has going on. Josh's face is perpetually swollen to the point where he is drooling all over himself now. And Clint was just around him, in person, for like a week(?) and clearly did nothing towards helping Josh get better. Just some facebook posts about "trolls" and their "sagas", while still feeding Josh's delusions about the lizard he "lost". Clint is either too dumb to realize the severity of Josh's current state, or just doesn't care imo.

Honestly, he really isn't that bad at guitar. When he tries to go super fast and "shred" it sounds fucking horrible but everything else is pretty good. His tapping especially is surprisingly clean sounding.

He had several interactions with managers on camera over the phone and behaved respectfully. I'm sure he'd be stocking shelves at walmart or something and in much better health if it were not for the paypigs. They've allowed him to lean into his worst behavior.

Cobra has scrambled his brains at this point. I think the biggest issue is Cobes is completely fine with drinking himself to death. He doesn't see any issue with it. For most people the thought of drinking alone in your apartment until you die is incredibly depressing but to Cobes it's badass. I don't know how you would fix that mindset.

Dude he was late to every single shift sometimes by hours. He got in shit because he would go on YouTube and vent about his coworkers and talk mad shit and made threats like if I recall correctly, dunking somebodies face in the deep fryer. He was too dumb to know how to read a schedule and would assume he was off on days he was supposed to work or confused which shift he had on which day. Like in the infamous hair dye video where he thinks he had to work evenings so he went shopping at the mall and was in the middle of dying his whole hair and face blue when his boss called him asking where he was because he was hours later to his shift.

He consistently fucked up his ONE responsibility aside from wiping tables which was mixing teas and putting them in dispensers because he could never tell the difference between the sweet tea or the unsweetened tea. He would mix a bucket of sweat tea and a bucket of unsweetened tea and then get confused over which was which and put the sweet tea in the unsweetened dispenser and vice versa. It got to the point they had to take away his tea mixing privileges and he had to work to get them back. Which he eventually did, and then he fucked it up again.

Not to mention he he WAS fired from his job and that was after they cut his hours don’t to like 4
hours a week. The only reason why they didn’t fire him earlier is cause I assume they took pity on him because it was clear he was nothing but a burden to work with.

Edit to add: on top of all of the above he would also act like a fucking schitzo and would sit at a table on his break pointing a magic wand at the ice machine and “using magic to make ice cubes fall out” I put that in quotes because all he was doing was sitting there pointing a want and looking smug when an ice cube inevitably fell out of the faulty machine and talk to himself or his phone about his magic powers

No. I think Clint saying "get your shit together immediately or zero contact" would force the BOY to sink or swim. Probably sink, which would at least be more humane than letting him slowly rot away for another decade, but MAYBE swim which is impossible as long as Cobes has every consequence of his actions which could threaten his living situation swept away by Clint.
