A food hack is something that would save you time, preparation or money and Josh somehow manages to take hours to cook basic meals while costing ten times more than they should. If anything Epic Meal Time does food porn. I think Josh just calls it a "hack" because it sounds cool and edgy.
It's usually a term for how to make something tasty really easily without much effort. I don't think even ghetto groids use it to mean "how to turn completely edible food into heinously bad garbage."
