I doubt he is in much pain anymore. This is end stage gum disease, and whatever healthy nerves and roots he had, are long dead. He probably has pockets where the pain is the worse, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he has just gotten used to it at this point.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand KingCobra. His humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of social sciences most of his jokes and gender relations advice will go over a typical persons head. There's also Josh's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. .

I still can't understand how he isn't in constant unbearable pain to the point of being unable to function and get through the day and do other stuff other than just sitting with the pain. - I had a problem with my molar that ultimately required a root canal, but that tooth was entirely visually intact even with that problem and that was just one tooth, and it was horrendous. Until I got it taken care of, all I could do was just sit with the pain and contemplate the pain, it was that all-consuming.

He got it right, then something in his brain went "no wait, that feels wrong", and went with the more familiar version of the word.

To him, these are just two valid ways of saying the word. Whatever you prefer. No skin off my shoes.

We have some dentists here, I would imagine that there is nothing that can be done to save those monstrosities now?

But there is also a possibility that it causes a life threatening infection that might just remove our gothic badboy from this gay earth. Could also explain some of the facial swelling.

I have an uncle who had an infection from a bad tooth. It ended up poisoning his blood and damaging his heart. He ignored the pain for a day or so, but it got to be so bad he went to the ER. He had to have heart surgery to repair the heart valves that had been wrecked by the infection. The doctors said that if he had waited a day longer, they wouldn't have been able to save him. Cobra is playing with fire, but that's just how a Boglim do. Circle of protection on the Sarlac pit, so mote it be.

This does make me wonder. How big of a role does his drinking play when it comes to his teeth? We have seen him just keep a mouthful of vodka for a minute or so, and it's suspected that he does it to help with the pain. But to what extent does he do that? And how long until he ends up in the hospital/morgue from just ignoring these issues?
