Not particularly, mozzarella is traditionally made with buffalo milk. It’s more easily found in Italy though, as most places use cow’s milk now.

Buffalo Mozzarella isn’t that uncommon, it’d be fun to watch something really exotic like casu martzu. You take a pecorino and leave it outside for flies to lay eggs in, the maggots hatch and start to eat and process the cheese, softening it up and giving it some extra funk. Traditionally you need to eat it when the maggots are still alive too, to make sure it’s fresh enough.
