i get ya. maybe as people have been more and more corralled onto specific sites like reddit i don't necessarily see it as much anymore because i do try to avoid the normie internet. but just pulling names off of deepfreeze most of these people effectively evaporated as games journalism has fallen off the fucking cliff. people like leigh alexander, nathan grayson, maddy myers, ben kuchera, kirk hamilton, they've had their platforms drop out from under them and now their feet are swinging to the tune of audiences merely numbering in the hundreds. i don't know that there are all that many others who've stepped up to take their place, or rather it's become so blended with the current political discourse that the masses of bots or bot-like npcs crying out for that particular brand of social guardrails is just noise and fewer seem to be as loud. but again, maybe i'm just not listening as closely anymore (thank fucking god)

Yyyyeah, even as an atheist (baptised as a kid, but still an atheist), I do understand why people would need god in their lives. Or somebody to live for, someone to rely on in a pinch, somebody to put their hope into.
