Yes, Bible Black had an actual story. The original vn minus gooner segments was basically there was a group of schoolgirls being witches, been a while since I played through but they tried doing a ritual on a specific night, walpurgis I think. Ritual went fucky, I'm blanking on some details but most of the witches (died?) or at least had their souls signed straight to the devil. One that survived was obviously unhappy with that, fast forward to modern day, mc winds up encountering survivor's witch shit and basically gets forced into being an accomplice to the witch. mc's childhood friend/love interest winds up becoming a target for witch to transfer her soul into while basically trading her contract to the devil over to the childhood friend. Mc winds up having a book "bible black" that corrupts him (fun fact, shows gradual corruption from a book/power infinitely better than death note, also female characters when not being coomed are far better than 1 dimensional misa, and plot has more emotional strings, fuck death note). the true/good end was mc helping and teaming up with another ex witch survivor and saving childhood friend/happily ever after. another fun fact: bible black was infamous for one bad end in particular. friend is soul hijacked, mc loses all hope, so he takes a glock to class, "friend" makes smug comment when he confronts her, then he straight up caps her and then goes to an asylum.

Side trivia part of the reason why the hentai was a shit show plot wise was in part because the actual male mc was character assassinated, they went with a partial bad end (childhood friend soul replacement/leeching) and then replaced mc with childhood friend/witch futaing everyone. They did that over a popular character vote or author insistence, forget exactly which, but it made the plot completely fucked and ruined multiple characters. Sei Shoujo, the artist/ writer was actually damn good at a point. His prior project, Heartwork, was about a teen mixing up a briefcase, said briefcase had a cursed pistol that basically leeches knowledge of decades of killers into you and basically turning anyone into John Wick, and then teen has to deal with it in various ways, ranging from getting rid of it to completely giving in and becoming a serial killer in a notably infamous gruesome end. Problem is Heartwork was story with some goon segments, Bible Black had goon integrated into the story, and then his following projects completely went to fetish up to Starless, notable for not only having an uncensor patch, but also a Black Label uncensor patch feature for stuff like scat, waterworks, bestiality, putting curry up ass to warm it and shitting it out and cumming on it to eat (i have no fucking clue what fetish term that is and i have no mind to find out).

fate was partially just 95% story with goon segments locked into "shirou, i'm out of gasoline. the only way i can get more gasoline is if you fuck me in the ass." however the sakura segments specifically relied on it as a plot element. i haven't read the "adjusted" censored version but in the original she was turbo raped by her brother, was regularly put into a worm rape dungeon, had a worm implanted on her womb or some shit, and basically her entire story is about her being fucked in the head and liking shirou because he didn't put her in a rape dungeon and instead makes chicken tendies with her, and she either accepts being cucked by literally who or her sister because at least it's not a rape dungeon, then goes back to her brother at the hospital, goes full bpd and causes shirou to have to kill himself, stab super saiyan drunk saber to death, and fight tardpriest over satans birth then be souljacked into a puppet body to show he thinks she's kinda cool and isn't ditching her, or she goes full hachiko if he actually died for real. anyway no idea how the fuck they'd adjust that shit unless they replace "rape" and "worm rape dungeon" with "my bro had to stick his mana tattoo on my mana tattoo and it made me ick".

fate in general has some retardation though, especially with fate go. introduces really weird ntr elements and has rin and sakura bodyjacked and romancing literally who, or FUCKING TAMAMO, who in her original fate plot, went through thousands of years alone to save her love interest, then fate go pops up and all it takes is "i refuse to cheat on my eternal love" to "meh, i mean really i think it's time to move on. how does my ass look in this bikini?" i dunno why the fuck they would create self insert mcs and harem situations to make player feel loved to have the next game having the love interests fucking dale. like you wouldn't have twilight and then twilight: 2 moons where edward and his entire family wound up in new orleans stalking shaniqua. new love interest and mc or whatever; great, someone who looks exactly like rin because they literally are possessed rin wanting to smash someone other than shirou, fucking weird, especially with a culture where idols can't even be in relationships publically or else their simps will straight up pull out the home made shotgun and go full Misery plot on them

Gotta be his realization that Ana is actually a tranny for me, the hilarity from that was great. I think the only thing lacking about the stream is that Kirsche seemed a bit hesitant to go really into depth on some of the key players of the situation. There's a lot more stuff they could've shown about Phil and his tranny antics, and maybe even showcase NyaraVT and his beliefs that kids can transition. I'm sure Jim would've gotten a good laugh at his voice too. Besides that it was a pretty good stream.

Yeah and that's fair, but my issue is that Kirsche has addressed all of this shit multiple times, yet it keeps being brought up as if it was some new damning evidence. I think it’s just a big ass tangent i started by explaining the reasons behind anime racism, and the big reason i used to be an anime racist was that weeaboos used to gatekeep by recommending some pretty sick hentai to tourists like me who would have no way of knowing better because pirate sites didn’t warn the viewer they were about to torrent some real sick shit.

It would absolutely be hilarious if Bible Black found a way to become as mainstream as Fate. But then again, the formula of demons, souls and extremely powerful student councils along with evil-ass teachers as well as schools flying off the deep end is such a common trope that it is used by everyone and their mother. So while Bible Black itself didn't become mainstream, its concept can be felt in other works. Thankfully though, those other works don't always add futanari.

Sadly the retardation Fate has ran into is part of a franchise life cycle. Original stuff that made it notable gets bastardized just to reach a new audience. Haven't forgotten the Lostroom animation where servants were treated like mob summons. I just see GO as a delightful mess. Not unlike a toybox.
