As for the intermission and text music, iirc there isn't any? I thought intermission was the map screen of Doom 1, but I guess the stat screen counts.

KFDoom Beta 3 is ready. I don't see any bugs, so unless someone reports something, I'll release this as version 1 tomorrow. As it is, it seems to be finished.
I just tested some and it looks fine.

I made this quick thing for the ending screen. Just put it in the "graphics" folder.

Could be an idea to add a txt file too? It could have stuff like suggested settings. Like turning on dynamic lights and whatever.

Will be adding a text file. There's a standard format all readmes have for Doom. Not sure if there's a reason, but will be using that format. It won't be strictly correct, as I think things like @Laughing Muttley map has Deathmatch starts, but because I don't know for sure I'm just going to say it's single player only. Maybe co-op works and DM works, I don't know.

Oh yea, single player only is a good idea. Might want to add that there are no skill levels either(some might have it, maybe). So UV should be default skill.
 
In regards to Nöl not playing it? Probably his shit health, said he's been feeling like absolute garbage, hence why there was no Tuesday stream.

Oh, no in general I meant, for everyone to play that is. But is it supposed to be played by Null before it's released? 🤔

You guys can still test the betas out if you want. I'm really enjoying this and really wished I had the chance to contribute. Whoever did that title pic just know its perfect.
I can already predict Null is not going to like the chaingunners very much

I've recorded a demo of the Small Maps episode, for ZZDoom 2.9.0 (iirc, of ZZDoom only this one version exists if anything), I used it cuz I know it can record demos and has portals. At some places, I used noclip and resurrect to not to delay the demo, I think it's ok since I had already played thru and experienced all the maps. If watched, I strongly suggest to use -timedemo for the sake of speed

I just played through the first episode, and I think the map ordering needs some work. Dilation Station 41 and Retard War are the most difficult maps of that set, and are bookended by very easy maps. Those ones would do better near the end. YWNBAW isn't the most difficult map, but I think the slaughter aspect and ending fights against boss monsters leads it well to being a finale map. I suggest this order:
  • Small Isle
  • Eeveeisadegeneratefruit
  • Festering Axe Wound
  • HRT Labs
  • Uncle Jersh's Day Out
  • Kiwi Farms 2041
  • Rat's Den
  • Dilation Station 41
  • Retard War
  • YWNBAW

I'm hesitant to change the order this late, but I might do.

Oddly enough, I didn't have much problem with Dilation Station 41. I'm guessing because it's properly made and paced.

It's not the most difficult map, but it is a massive difficulty spike compared to the first map and isn't really matched later on.
 
The order which is in betas makes sense for me, I felt that the difficulty raises consistently, at least the maps' length mostly does. Kiwi2041 ends in Hell, and it's the only map in the first episode that ends there. If someone'd want to make a lore to explain what happens in the first episode, one'll have a much easier time explaining the end of the episode in Hell than when Hell is somewhere in the middle. And Dilation 41 is one of the easiest maps cuz there's lots of weapons coming early, and obstacles to cover behind (I could even crouch behind consoles dodging archvile's attacks)
 
Judge, if you change the order, can I at least fix the broken textures on the Eevee map and give you an updated version via upload?

Here is my fixed version of the map. It doesn't change the gameplay, it keeps the soul of the map and it should look better now. I did change only a few textures and didn't do any major changes and it should feel exactly like the original, but without broken textures or missing key color bars. I don't take any credit for this minor facelift, I just want the map to be on par with the others.
