Update
I have implemented a much superior shuttle system, which will be necessary for many future features. Annoyingly this is most of what I achieved (and not much in the way of stuff that actually uses it). I will now begin working on other priority things, but basically the most important things to note are:
  • new (based) shuttles can now share docking points, instead of needing a special snowflake port for every shuttle that ever lived
    • probably going to convert the mining shuttle over
  • based shuttles can now possibly pick from multiple dock points around the station, if they are mapped
  • it is now massively easier to add a new shuttle
  • it is now massively massively easier to add a new shuttle dockpoint, which will be automatically detected by all compatible shuttles
  • there is some potential to allow in-round shuttle customization, with respect to shuttle doors and computers stuff (it identifies doors dyanmically at runtime)

  • reduced movement speed by 1 tick
  • weird ticklag compensation stuff associated with mob movement disabled
    • possible the one nigger somehow psychically detected this effecting his movement? idk
  • chemmaster re-worked
    • no longer broken POS
    • will create pill bottles for you (based)
    • will auto-sprite pills based on their main reagent
  • meteor event re-balanced to be somewhat less intense
  • the odds of a major event happening reduced a lot
  • i have added an admin Gib command to the right click menu for all players, i just wanted you to know that i now have this power accessible at a moments notice

note: btw the new shuttles have like almost nothing in common with the old ones in terms of how they work which is why that took forever
 
I've wasted over an hour trying to connect to this server to no avail. I keep getting a very specific error message, "Connection failed before handshake". I'm on latest BYOND version, so 515.1633. Did all the widely-known things to help with the usual "connection failed" message like clearing cache and connecting to other servers. Send help

One thing you can try is following the link on the byond.com/download page for the microsoft C++ runtimes, sometimes that helps with weird issues

Sadly that didn't do the trick. Also apparently a failed handshake is a BYOND issue. Apparently.
Anyway, I imagine I've already missed out on all of the fun so I suppose I'll try to resolve this situation till Wednesday.

I feel like the server would be a lot more active if you could track the numbers. No one will be willing to connect to the server every few hours to see if anyone's playing.

A website that tells you how many people are on might lead more people to playing.

Ill put it up under iplogg.er later on when i get it working if I can find a dns provider that will give me an eritrea domain
