For some reason that no other program has (probably the dependancy of ie11 which is not on winetricks) I an required to keep a 40GB syatem disk in my storage just to play ss13.

No need to have a 40GB machine. Certain modded pirated installations of Windows 10 allow compression and disabling reserved storage. You can get the total size of Windows down to 15-20GB.

Tried it, chat is broken. It should be assumes that BYOND requires a VM.

The problem is with Dream Maker but other people have gotten it to work.

I did manage to get it running, its a little better than it was due to fixing some config issues, but unless I self-dox my IP and host on my fucking 500 dollar 24-thread CPU (instead of crypto mining with my idle cores) or spend hundreds renting more cpu cores, this thing will not run well. I will leave it up for today if people want to see anyways, but I will in all likelihood switch back by time of the next session.

This is false, ever since byond switched from IE to edge for its web engine there has been no way to do it at all. Edge is one of microsofts strongest remaining tools in their arsenal to bite back against wine since its so (intentionally) jank on the operating system API calls and stuff (which wine has to simulate).

It wasn't a waste, it has made me grateful for how (comparatively) clean and efficient the older code was. Still I must admit I do miss some newer features. But I'll have to play more on the original to see exactly what I miss.

Is SS13 still windows only or can it be made to work under proton/wine?

Either use a VM or look up how to get it to work with Wine. I think old Bay code should work with Wine because it doesn't use TG's NanoUI (which makes wine compatibility impossible).

It does "work" through Lutris and by that I mean it at least runs to the point you can load into an SS13 game and move around/interact with shit. The one issue I found when trying that was any dialogue boxes that pop up (ATM, books, power control panels etc) never actually populate, so you kind of can't really do anything. Personally I ended up just setting up a VM and it runs well through there.

I'm going to play on this the first second I can and enjoy being connected to the Internet. If you advertise this for nicer player counts, do it conservatively and away from Reddit, 4chan, and (if you feel it reasonable) the larger threads on KF.
Anyways, SS13 is the most depressing shit ever. Seth (who knowingly shat it up with sudden newfound exposure)-tide trannies with an autistic affinity for autistic simulation games found a sense of communal belonging and socialization fulfillment present within this unique online game and through being so lifeless and code-autistic, managed to worm their way into positions of moderation and influence. Due to being acclimated to retarded moderation and awful video games, trannies completely shit everything up and now ERP servers are all they can tolerate as fun LRP and fun MRP servers are strangled by insular faggots and Byond hub bans. All that's left are those trannies fucking and sucking on ERP servers as the old guard has parted, along with most of the fun.

In all seriousness Baystation for this version of Kiwi Station will probably be better in the long run after the testing you've done, it really does not seem worth having to shell out a shitload of money to keep it up just to run /tg/. It was worth a go though.

I'm pretty sure the issue for baycode is the machinery process, it seems to be running rather a large number of machines every 2 seconds which feels like the interval of the server jilting me. I'm just going to make it split them evenly between all 20 frames and see if that smooths it out. Its hard to be sure because ironically we don't have a billion different profilers running, which actually greatly simplifies the codebase and probably helps us not have as bad of performance issues in the first place.

Somethings screwing it up so anyhow I shall start narrowing it down.
