Updates
  • Sleepers now work on critted people, that was always a dumb constraint. I have no intention of forcing people to use cryo, I intend it to be a bit niche. So, paramedics can now do a lot more to save people in critical condition in the ER before handing them off for more advanced treatment
  • if you put your ID into your PDA and put PDA into ID slot, vending machines will now scan it and not make you swipe
  • surgery delays reduced by a factor of 4 (ie if it was a 6 second delay its now 1.5)
    • whilst investigating head reattachment bug I surgically amputated a head and then reattached it, idk what your guys problem is seems like a skill issue
      • did turn out step 4 of limb replacement surgery 'hemostat' isn't needed, you can just put the head back on, so removed that step from wiki
  • added organ bioprinter to surgery (you will need to get prosthetic limbs from robotics atm iirc)
  • Some backend shit nobody cares about

It's been a while since I spotted the bug and I'm not even sure the issue I described was the problem. Let's just call it a skill issue until it comes up again. Although I think the problem was that I couldn't re-attach it (probably became head damage was too high).
 
I would love to see a KiwiCode server on the hub that makes trannies seethe. I want to contribute in whatever small ways I can, even if I wouldn't be able to help on the coding side. I could do writing/proofreading for anything needed, as well as design concepts or playtesting. I would even learn how to sprite so I could do recolors and maybe eventually full sprites. Imagine all the memes that could be added.

  • Possible fix for the minor lag spike occasionally caused by mice and intercoms, which may have been a result of mice doing *snuffle* emotes into intercoms.

Regarding being on the hub, we actually were briefly up on accident, and to be honest yeah I dunno if we want to recruit from that pool anymore, it is truly a cesspit of furfags and carebears.

Yeah all the normal people have been overwhelmed by degenerates with parasocial Discord relationships. New players are immediately cast aside by the tranny group mentality.

BYOND is beyond saving. Whoever's running it just wants to milk it for all its worth and I doubt it's his primary source of revenue even.

You absolutely turn to fucking dust right now when that happens. At one point while setting up with nobody else on I accidentally opened the blast doors while still filling up the engine with plasma/o2 and had a lit cigarette. 0.2 seconds after realizing I'd interacted with the wrong thing and that door was opened I got vaporized into a pile of ash. The now very new plasma fire burned through the engine room really fast, shattered all the plasma glass on the not-gas containment side, then ate its way through the lower half of engineering. All it took was one lit cigarette and poof, off went half the station. If an actually established plasma fire got loose it would likely demolish everything before you could blink.

Hey, I'm used to playing SS14 (I know it's a troon infested server), and I tried playing a /vg/ server awhile back, is there anything I need to know? I'm new to SS13 in general.

You'll find the server very similar to VG, because VG is basically old TG. However, this server predates old TG so don't go in expecting to know everything.

Use the old wiki archives if you're stuck with stuff like recipes, they're reasonably accurate for the most part save for a few bits here and there. There's two guides linked in the first post, and here's the homepage. I think the plan is to port the wiki over to the gitgud repo in the long run. Don't be afraid to ask if you need help with something either in OOC or LOOC, there's a few people new to SS13 here and we all have to start learning somewhere.

Yeah I was kind of surprised to see my brain was fine and dandy on top of the ash tbh, it might be hard coded in that it doesn't end up being dust as well
 
That can definitely be fixed I shall add it to my infinitely long backlog
