You'll be fine with a VPN, but set up a Windows VM. BYOND and Linux do not play nice, even with WINE and all the compatability attempts you can think of.

Interesting, it's almost like a proto-boxstation. I guess I mostly played on the /tg/ branches and whatever Thingolus ran way in the very early days of /v/ /vg/ SS13 servers. What type of engine does the map have? Map doesn't look like singularity and I feel like 2015 is too early for the RUST engine. Eternal engineering player here

Once a round starts there should be an "Observe" option you can select, if there isn't you might need to install a few Micro-jew dependencies or re-install BYOND and see if that fixes it. The client recently got an update to 515 so check if you need to update it.
