🥝 Community Kiwi Space Station 13 Server (2024 edition) - Space Station 13

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
Some feedback after playing.

I was pretty excited to get on and try it but this codebase doesn't seem to work at all. Byond updates seem to have broke everything.

  • There are constant bugs that are game breaking.
  • Movement is extremely clunky.
  • Your missing some features like the progress bars above peoples heads.
  • Movement is very clunky it seems like my speed changes randomly and is way too fast.
  • The medical system is old bay med which sucks and lets you enter crit forever with no chance of dying.
  • Some really basic features are missing too, there isnt even a reconnect button.

Things I liked
  • The old art style I really missed it.
  • ZAS is fast

as much as I got sick of vg's brainrot it has one of the best codebases, so I'm conflicted

This sounds like fun and I'd join in if I didn't spend 99% of my non-smartphone computing time on my shitty underpowered work laptop.

I'll likely take another crack at movement lag at some point but it probably wont get super better in the immediate term. Its a lot better than it was, but we are getting into the territory where other servers probably just have a way nicer server than I do.

This is from when progress bars were first introduced, so some things have them and some don't. I can add them to specific actions for when people care.

Some of the UI stuff is just simply not going to be there
 
I need to know a couple of things

1. Will rearranging and organizing the texture files fuck everything up?

2. There's a giant worm in the texture files I'd like to know if there's anything else about it?

3. I would like to see if we could replace the furry races with actual alien races like plasma men?
