Soften the outlines a bit more? Especially on the front sprite, its such a defined outline it makes the shoulder plates look weird against the chest

Do surgeries still work? Can they still grab and throw facehuggers?
No they are no longer human based mobs, also yea of course
Xenos don't seem to have regeneration and slashing powered doors damages you. fix pls?
Stand on weeds, also electrified doors are intended to hurt you, use acid or go around in that situation

Sorry but that's a retarded workaround.

On other codebases (read, 10 years more advanced) living/human have their sight tied to their eye organ. I'm pretty sure you can implement that.

The way I look at it, this codebase is gonna be spaghettified shitcode in about 3 months lol.
 
Update
Fairly major projectile rewrite.

First of all, the beam effects are rendered using transforms instead of pixel offsets now, which support fractional pixels and hence look way better (before/after):

You can also now fire around corners. This is very important for gameplay, because ever since trajectory based guns went in (long before even we forked off in 2015) cover mechanics were gone for good. This lead to most gun fights devolving into people standing in front of eachother and blasting away like it was the napoleonic era. This brings back corner cover.

ADDITIONALLY, pixel-based aiming was always in but was broken, so that is now also fixed. This lets you fine tune your firing angle if you are blind firing down a hallway for instance. These two things are mostly what I was working on yesterday and early today, which was complicated.


Also, all ballistic guns are now hitscan.

Also, two xenos fixes:
  • facehuggers now rip off helmets that dont have melee armor (so regular space helmets and emergency helmets wont protect you, but voidsuit helmets will)
  • xenos weed healing fixed again, I had changed xeno to be updatehealth based which means they now use bruteloss/fireloss etc, so the healing was getting reset since that was adjusting health not bruteloss and so on. Weeds now heal your bruteloss/fireloss and having tested it it appears to work. Also, resting now boosts your healing further. (@ChefRedpill yea sorry turns out I broke that while doing other xeno changes my bad)

Yea chill out I'll handle it I'm messing with the settings. I prefer rebase merges so in theory you can hit the rebase button and it will work. If its failing even though there is no merge conflict I'll just go back to merge commits even though I dislike them.

Its close, maybe the legs need more work they shoulnd't be made of perfect 45 and 90 degree angles its throwing off the crabness, also the mouth pincers are a bit dark it looks like a second set of eyes which is not good. Maybe we should move this into PMs

Also, took a crack at fixing slime reproduction

priceless... but I personally preferred being able to dodge them/having to lead them to cause bleed damage and lots of problems... but it's personal preference or whatever and it's your server in 2024 so do whatever <3

Rebasing through terminal works in the meantime anyways. As long as you don't have the conflict on the map files it's fine, just fix the conflicts and remerge, gitgud tells you exactly what to do anyways
