🥝 Community Kiwi Space Station 13 Server (2024 edition) - Space Station 13

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I discovered two things:
1. Roundstart join cyborgs don't get slaved to roundstart AIs all the time, could this be related to the semi-recent change to the AI join announcement delay for naming?
2. The cyborg monitoring subsystem lists slaved cyborgs, when one is emagged they are no longer slaved and disappear from the list. This could be used by an AI to tell that the borg was emagged. Thoughts on this situation?
I'll gladly fix both of these problems.

It's all real by the way.

If I can ask any of the gamers here who record their rounds for more short, fun clips of shit that happened, I would appreciate it. I am trying to do another short, quick, easy compilation video if it is possible. Much appreciated, gamers.
Also I appreciate knowing that I have been so retarded that people notice when I am not present and shitting up the place.

Updates
  • engplanner now unloads contracts via a right click verb instead of the old way
  • engplanner interact will now show you the first 5 uncompleted repair items and what direction they are in (click it or pagedown)
  • pipe dispensers no longer require power
  • xeno larva count in ghost Status panel (if any exist)
  • enhanced cable laying, to avoid horrible pixel clicking for the new repair contracts
    • interact the coil to start laying (click or pagedown)
    • will grab cable stubs and pull them behind you
      • if not, will connect to cables behind you if possible
      • else, will create a cable stub behind you
    • will automatically connect to cables ahead of you where possible, allowing you to run around and wire relatively fast

feel free to look into that

Btw @xXEddie.DurellXx i had a thought, maybe look at the squirrel larva sprite as a template for a smaller in-hand squirrel icon?

Seems promsing, I'd say the original clinging to the arm posture was a bit better but it definitely still looks like a squirrel and is smaller

extremely heterosexual video
edit:
I am very happy to see the alien vanguard midi find its way in there. Arachno SF?
I'm going to be real, I download music in the shittiest way possible for these. I just go onto youtube and search for the track I am looking for for the video and download whatever the first version I find is that doesn't sound like shit. I barely pay attention to the soundfont as long as it is passable in quality. I downloaded a bunch of stuff a while back from all the wads that had good soundtracks and I just go through that folder for every video. I probably used this upload for the last track and this for the first. I am aware that is the most scuffed way to do things and I would have a better time with editing if I rendered the tracks from midi with the same soundfont consistently myself or something like that.

Update - Account transaction limits
  • previously, accounts had a 'security level' that would somewhat inconsistently demand a PIN from you, now accounts allow you to set a transaction limit
  • the limit is in terms of dollars
    • its somewhat reminiscent of real bank accounts insofar as it keeps a running tally. so, if you set a limit of $1000 space bucks, and someone later steals your ID, they can't just buy snacks or whatever until you run out of cash
    • tally resets whenever you input your pin to authorize a transaction
  • default is no limit, so you can continue to slip and steal the money of easily taken advantage of fools (this was how it worked beforehand as well)
    • if there is no limit, then your ATM will not require you to input a PIN at all
  • account security settings are now properly stored in the database (forgot to do that originally)
  • i tested all the basic financial interactions and they seem to still work
Also, here are the current richest ckeys according to the database, you may now murder and rob these people if you can figure out their ingame character names:
Code:
MariaDB [tgstation]> select ckey,balance from ntcred_accounts order by balance desc limit 5;
+-----------------+---------+
| ckey | balance |
+-----------------+---------+
| 75tontimberwolf | 160900 |
| theclownforhire | 146480 |
| kasthegikes | 89845 |
| sneedengiofrot | 44358 |
| bigmanbiggus | 38336 |
