He's going to make an improved indexer using some ML magic. You'll be able to search the site in certain specific ways that a text search can't, but in reality it will only be a bit better. Under the hood there will be some sort of pseudo-CWCki that gets automatically generated from posts, that drives the indexer.

If it turns out really well you could theoretically ask it "What's the name of that one fat pepperoni guy from Milwaukee's car?" and it (:optimistic:) might spit out "Susan".

It will probably have to be a special tool, and it will probably not be used by many people.

I don't really have that much faith in this guy because I told him to DM Null and he randomly tagged him in the Dick Masterson thread (?) and embarrassed himself. Maybe he'll lurk more and acclimate. Fingers crossed...

I think its just with the situation at hand it's gonna difficult. But the idea sounds fun.
 
This doesn't seem useful aside from the novelty of using a conversational model to ask about lolcows.
Group editable OPs is a much needed feature. The highlights feature is a band-aid for this and it can leave out informative posts. I don't know how old you are or how much you've actually read through older threads, but it seems you are fairly new and young judging by your posts.

Agreed. Are you thinking someone could just nominate equal level access to a thread?

Also I haven't been on here in a minute but didn't Josh rewrite a ton of the site from XenForo? Maybe it's something that's locked up in that framework?
